“Leo Colt,” I announce hesitantly.

Most of the dancers look confused, as if they don’t have a clue who he is. They probably don’t; his music doesn’t really appeal to our generation. When I was growing up, my parents used to sing along to his greatest hits, and often, I would sing right along with them. I’ve never told anyone, but his voice made me fall in love with music.

“Wait…isn’t he that old rock star dude that sang that song, ‘Blissful Even’? It was a hit…like…ten years ago, right?” Lisa asks.

“Yeah, that’s him. He had a bunch of hits years ago, but he isn’t that old. He’s in his mid-thirties, I think,” I respond a touch defensively.

“Why are we going on tour with him if he hasn’t had a hit in years?” Sean, another one of my backup dancers, asks.

“Rocky set the whole tour up. He says Leo and I are complementary acts,” I answer.

“Complementary acts? How? He’s classic rock, and you’re pop,” Lisa points out.

“Yeah, that’s what’s great about it. My music appeals to teen girls, and his music appeals to their moms. Doing a joint tour will bring the moms and their daughters together so they both can enjoy the concert,” I explain.

They all look at me a bit skeptically. I get why they’re confused about us going on tour with Leo Colt; I even raised an eyebrow myself when Rocky first presented the idea to me. But he says Leo is revamping his image and that the tour will be good for both of us. Leo may have been on a ten-year hiatus, but he still has a loyal fan base. Moms around the world rushed to buy tickets to our concert when rumor got out that he and I would be doing a concert together. Rocky says it’s one of the most anticipated tours of the year.

“I don’t know what you’re all complaining about. I can’t wait to go on tour with Leo Colt!” Kenny exclaims.

“Why?” Lisa asks.

“Uh, hello? Have you seen him? He’s one of the hottest men to ever walk this Earth,” he says decisively.

“Kenny, he’s twice our age,” Lisa reminds him.

“So? Age is nothing but a number. I’d still let him strum me like a guitar,” Kenny purrs.

He always finds a way to make the most inappropriate remarks, but he doesn’t mean any harm by them; he just wants to make us all laugh. He’s right, though – I’ve seen pictures of Leo Colt, and he is hot.

“Sorry, Kenny, but I don’t think he’s into men,” Lisa giggles.

“Hey, you never know,” Kenny counters with a sly grin before sighing. “But you’re probably right. He won’t even look in my direction, not with Nikki on stage shaking everything she’s got. Once he catches a glimpse of those curves, he won’t be able to take his eyes off her.”

They all laugh as they nod agreeingly.

“Guys, stop it,” I laugh, but I can feel my face turning a blushing pink.

Hopefully, no one notices the sudden color change of my cheeks, and if they do, I hope they attribute it to the intense dancing we were just doing.

Leo Colt is insanely hot and talented; a mature man like him probably won’t even give me a second glance. He’s a rock god. While I’m successful in my own right, he’s a living legend. With all his talent and an amazing body to match, he probably has women around the world longing to be held in his arms again. Women he has left high and dry, like I’ve heard most rock stars do.

He has a bad boy image and the word trouble stamped all over him. I know I shouldn’t be, but I’m insanely attracted to him. He’s tall, with huge bulging muscles, and he has a head full of dark hair and intense blue eyes that look like they could pierce right through you. I’m nervous about meeting him in person because I think my heart will literally stop if I stare into those crystal blue irises.

I’ve met plenty of celebrities in my life, but he’s one of the few that I idolize. He’s one of the most talented musicians to ever exist: he can sing, dance, and even play the guitar. It’s an honor to go on tour with him, and even though I’m extremely excited to meet him, I have to play it cool. I can’t act like a crazed fan who is finally getting to meet the superstar she’s had a crush on her entire life. No matter how dreamy and talented he is, I have to be professional.

“Your ten minutes are up!” Jane shouts.

Everyone groans, but we jump up without hesitation.

“This time, I want to see more energy, people! We’re going on tour in less than a week, and we can’t make any mistakes, Kenny.”

Kenny rolls his eyes as he walks back over to his spot.
