Stopping in front of another door, I seize the knob. I turn it, and this door opens with ease. This must be my private dressing room; it’s lavish, with flowers everywhere, and there are bottles of my favorite water on the table. I grab a bottle of Evian and sit on the white suede couch, taking a sip of the water as I sink into the sofa, making myself comfortable. I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths as I try to meditate, but I suddenly open them as I hear a creaking door. Maybe it’s Rocky coming to give me a ten-minute warning. I glance at the door to the hallway, but it’s closed shut.

Standing up, I start walking toward the closed door, but then I notice steam coming from the attached bathroom. Who could it be? I’m pretty sure this is my dressing room, so why would someone else be taking a shower in here? I slowly walk toward the bathroom, trying my best to be cautious, but I stop in my tracks when I hear a deep baritone voice groan.

Just as I try to turn back around and leave the dressing room, Leo Colt steps out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel. Beads of water trickle from his body as steam from the shower surrounds his smoking hot body. Holy cow! I can’t believe he’s standing right before my eyes, practically in the nude. The water bottle slips out of my hand, but I catch it before it hits the ground.

“Nice save,” he compliments as he flashes his pearly white teeth at me.

My heart is racing a mile a minute, and I want to say something, but there’s a huge lump in my throat. I’m pretty sure I look like an idiot just standing here holding a bottle of water with my mouth open wide, but it’s Leo Colt, for crying out loud.

Kenny was right; it is love at first sight. Or at least lust at first sight. He’s got the body of a Spartan warrior but the face of an angel. I know I shouldn’t stare, but his glistening, rock-hard abs are hypnotizing. I didn’t think it was possible for a man to be this attractive, but he really is the sexiest man I’ve ever seen in my life. His chest and arms are covered in tattoos, and he looks like the ultimate bad boy.

“You must be Nikki,” he continues.

Our eyes meet, causing my heart to melt. Oh gosh, I can’t believe I’m standing in the same room as rock star Leo Colt. I consider pinching myself to see if I’m dreaming, but if I am, I don’t want to wake up. I swallow hard as I try to get some words out. I have to say something – anything at this point – because I look like a starstruck fan.

“Yes,” I finally manage to say. “I’m Nikki. You must be Leo Colt.”

“Just Leo,” he murmurs as he winks at me.

I’ve got to pull it together. He might be a rock legend, but I have a pretty successful career myself. I shouldn’t be standing here acting like a dunce. I straighten my shoulders and lift my head up high. I’m not some crazed teenage girl; I’m a pop star with three platinum records.

“It’s nice to meet you, Leo,” I add.

“It’s nice to meet you, too, Nikki. I’ve heard great things about you, but you probably have no idea who I am, do you?” he asks jokingly.

“Of course I do,” I giggle. “How could I not know who you are? I know all of your greatest hits. I even have a few of your albums,” I admit.

“Really? I wouldn’t expect someone so young to be familiar with my music,” he responds.

“Well, your songs are timeless. Besides, I might be eighteen, but I’m mature for my age,” I explain.

“I can see that,” he says suggestively as he looks me up and down.

Oh man, Leo Colt is ogling me. My heart is pounding in my chest, and I can feel the sparks between us.

“I hope you’re performing ‘Blissful Even’ tonight,” I whisper as I gaze into his eyes.

“I can if you want me to,” he says, staring deep into my eyes.

“I’ve always loved that song,” I confess.

“Then I’ll be sure to look in your direction when I sing it tonight,” he smiles.

This can’t be happening. Is Leo Colt flirting with me? Maybe it’s all in my head, but it feels so real.

“I’ll be looking forward to it.” I try my best not to blush. “Sorry, by the way, for barging into your dressing room. I thought it was mine.”

“It’s no problem at all. I was wondering when I was going to get to meet you,” he adds.

“Really?” I ask, surprised.

“Yeah, I’ve been looking forward to it,” he continues.
