Dalia
Laying on my back, my legs curling around Etheron’s shoulders, I revel in the delight of his kiss. My fingers slide through his long, dark hair and grip tight when my back arches from the explosion of pleasure. “Ohh, gods.” I squeeze his head between my thighs as I ride out the orgasm.
His low rumbling chuckle travels through me like a rolling thunderstorm. He pushes up on his hands, his shoulder muscles roiling like violent ocean waves. He grins and climbs over me, trailing kisses like little lightning strikes up my body.
I bite my lower lip to restrain my smile from taking over my whole face. “Etheron. You drive me mad.”
“And you keep me sane.” He laughs into my neck, before kissing my cheek. “All right. I have to go for an hour. I’ll be right back.”
I pout my lips. “Why? We’re on our honeymoon. Stay. Make love to me.”
“You know I want to.” He hovers over me, propped up on his elbows, raining kisses on my face, but clever enough not to be ensnared by my lips. “I’m lucky to get as much time as I am. I’ll be back soon.” He pecks my lips, and despite my arms gripping the back of his neck, he pulls away and slides off the bed.
“Don’t you have lieutenants or something to handle things while you’re gone?”
He smiles while putting on his clothes. “I have commanders that have lieutenants, but none of them can replace me, my little likar. Besides, the men need to see their general. Just by being there, it sets a tone for their training. They’ll grow stronger in my presence.”
I trace a circle in the bed sheets with my finger. “Do you promise you’ll only be gone for an hour?”
“Or less. I’ll go check on the men, make sure they’re training properly, then come right back to you.” Finished dressing, he walks back to the bed and sits on the edge, leaning over me. “And you need to stop complaining, Dalia. If I say I need to leave, then you need to accept that.”
I roll my eyes. “I do accept it. But I need to complain so that you know I don’t like it. I’m not trying to stop you from leaving, I just want you to know that I’d rather you stay.” I give him my best pouty look that earns me a chuckle and a kiss.
“You’re right. I’m glad that you want me around.”
“Around? How about in?” I spread my legs, inviting him with a wink.
A wide grin spreads across his lips. His knee hits the mattress, sending my heart to racing. “After this, I’m going to leave.” His hands unbuckle his pants and pull his erection free. “You’re not going to guilt me.You’re not going to tempt me with your beauty. I’m going to check on the men, and come right back.”
“Of course.” I smile, wrapping my arm around his shoulder. “I would never stoop so low.”
He slips inside and grunts. “I take care of you, provide for all your needs. As my mate, you trust me. That’s it. All you have to do is trust me.” He cups my face with his large hands and pulls me in for a kiss. I lean into it, his lips drawing me deep.
When he pulls away, I nod. “I trust you to fuck my mind from my skull.”
He laughs before getting to work, ravaging my body and sending me to Helias.
I know he’s right; I’m just so used to standing up against everything that scared me. Anything that wasn’t how I wanted it, anything that threatened me or the things I wanted, I’ve always railed against them. Gazing up into his slate gray eyes, I know I don’t have to anymore. He’s absolutely right. All I have to do is trust him, and he’ll do all the hard work to make my life a dream come true.
He finishes nearly an hour later, not because I waved my ass in the air when he first climaxed, not because I suck him back to hardness the second time, and definitely not when I sat in his lap and whispered to fuck a baby in me. No, certainly not my fault he stayed a whole extra hour.
He dresses all over again since I ripped one of his shirts. “I could have been back by now.”
I grin. “But then I wouldn’t be so satisfied right now.”
He kisses my forehead and takes his leave.
I get up and head to my favorite room in the house, the bathing chamber. It holds tubs and stalls with hot water. I would never imagine a person’s home could have one built into it, but Etheron’s manor seems to have everything.
I relax in the water for a few minutes before my servant comes in to assist me. I can’t seem to convince Etheron I don’t need help. She washes my hair without saying a word, and I’ve long given up on trying to talk to her beyond what scent I like.
I try to enjoy the water and the bath oil as I think of Etheron. He’s so strange, so enigmatic at times. There’s the loving Etheron, the one that whispers to me in bed, then there’s the general, the one that’s cold and calculating.
At least the insane Etheron is gone. There’s still so much to learn about him, so much to uncover. I’ll have to take my time. All he’s been after for the past couple of weeks is sex. It’s those moments between sex where he truly opens up and I can dig around, uncovering the buried treasure of his personality.
After my bath, the servant rubs oils into my skin that locks in the moisture of the bath, and it smells like Helias. The elves have the most amazing things. And now I have them. Everything that’s his, is mine, because he’s given it to me.
The servant’s hands slide over my skin with a gentle and practiced touch that I appreciate. Gone are the side eyes and passive aggressive treatment from the servants. I’m already Etheron’s wife, the lady of the house.
