“Hello, please have a seat,” the dean said, gesturing to the same chair I was in the day before.

“Thank you,” I said and sat down, but on the edge of it. Literally the edge of my seat as I waited for her to talk.

“As you know, there was a board meeting last night and your case came up,” she said and gave me a kindly smile. I felt more relaxed at that, why would she smile if she was about to destroy my world? I nodded and she continued. “We discussed all aspects of it and looked at your previous work. Your grades are normally excellent, which helped.”

I nodded and let her speak.

“And I am pleased to let you know that if you join the catch up sessions with your friends, then you will be allowed back into Fincross to complete your studies. There’s nothing we can do about Dr. Seymour’s class, though. You failed your midterm before you left.”

“I understand,” I said and fought the giant grin that threatened to take over my face. “Thank you so much, you don’t know how much this means to me.”

She nodded and again gave me a kindly smile. I stood, we said our goodbyes, and I yelled the results to the secretary as I ran past her desk.

“Congratulations!” I heard her call to me as I hit the top of the stairs.

I didn’t know I could jump that fast, but I took the stairs down two at a time. I ran out to where my Kings were waiting and told them the news.

“I’m saved!” I exclaimed and let the laughter bubble out of me. “I’m allowed back in and I have to come to class with you!”

They surrounded me, kissing me and hugging me, holding me and lifting me up with their kindness and love.

And from that moment, it felt like everything was back on the right track again.

Of course, like everything else in life, the moment I was up simply meant there was room to go down again.

And of course, it happened sooner than I expected.

CHAPTER11

“You know this means celebration,”Kingston said, draping his arm across my shoulders. I tucked into him, soaking up the heat from his body and letting the joy of the moment wash over me.

“And what do you mean by celebration?” I asked, of course, my mind going straight to sex.

“We’re taking you out. Not now, though, because this week is going to be our crack down week,” Ryker said. “We have to kick ass and catch up.”

“After that, we were thinking of a short trip away,” Valen said. “Maybe just a couple of nights in Vegas?”

“Or would you prefer a spa getaway?” Archer asked.

I loved it when they inundated me with choices, but sometimes they all came at me at once and it was overwhelming. As if being overwhelmed by love could be a bad thing.

In my new spirit of positivity, I decided to let it go, and lean into their love. Normally I might feel anxious about trying to please them all, or scared that I would hurt somebody’s feelings, and so I would let myself drown in their desires to make my life better.

But now, in my new attempts to alleviate stress and fear, I let it lift me up like a little feather on the currents of a river. I floated happily along, letting them talk around me about all the different options we had to escape the vigors of college life.

Because in the end, all that mattered was that I would be somewhere with my Kings. And I would be getting railed good and hard by each and every one of them.

But then, as I relaxed, I felt an urge shine through the jumbled excitement and I knew where I wanted to go. I actually wanted to lead the way and make a decision.

“Vegas,” I said with a sudden exclamation. “I want to go to Las Vegas. I don’t want to hide from the world anymore. I want to go somewhere we can be our wild and outrageous selves and nobody will notice a thing.”

“That sounds perfect, princess,” Kingston said, and he raised his eyebrows. “You realize if we go to Vegas, we get to take you dancing, right?”

“Of course,” I said and laughed. “Wait, why? How did you make something as innocent as dancing sound so dangerous?”

“Because all four of us will surround you on the dance floor and we’ll make you our sexy queen for the night,” Ryker said, as his eyes grew distant, thinking about the scene.

“I think I could handle that,” I said and dramatically put the back of my hand to my forehead. “If I’m forced, that is.”
