Olivia: WHYYYYY? (Yes. That was a whine-font.)
Tess: I’m studying for the LSATs. Plus, now that Mom moved, I have to help Mac out with Daisy.
Mac: You don’t have to help me out with Daisy. Or in with Daisy. And I’m going to win tonight, so don’t even bother borrowing an ugly sweater, Kase.
Darby: Why is Mac on this thread?
Kasey: I added him.
Mac: I’m a McCoy cousin too. I was the first one, actually.
Olivia: Exactly. Aren’t you a little old to be participating in an ugly sweater contest? Once you have a kid of your own, I feel like stepping down should be mandatory.
Mac:Afraid to lose?
Olivia: An ugly sweater contest? HA. I’m afraid to win.
Mac: You won’t. Look at me.
Olivia: You are pretty hideous.
Kasey: Hold on. Are the four of you together in the same room right now? Why are you all texting instead of talking?
Darby: You started the thread, Kasey.
Kasey: True. But I didn’t expect you to start discussing all your future sibling plans on it. (LOL!)
Olivia: Apparently there ARE no future sibling plans, because nobody loves me. My sisters are clearly too threatened by my beauty.
Mac:You’re triplets. You three are all equally unattractive to me.
Olivia: Sick burn, Mac.
Darby: Nah. It’s cool that Liv is the pretty one. I got all the brains.
Tess: What did I get all of?
Mac: Me.
Tess:Pass.
Mac: Daisy?
Tess:I was thinking more along the lines of a scintillating personality. You people couldn’t last a minute without my particular brand of sunshine.
Darby: False.
Olivia: What you’ve got is a closet full of ugly sweaters, Tess. You *must* have an extra one for Kasey.
Tess: I don’t have ugly sweaters. I just have sweaters.
Olivia: *cough* ugly *cough.
Tess: Fine. I’ll bring one over now, Kase. I gotta get out of this house anyway.
Kasey: Thanks, Tess. PS: My mom wants me to remind you all to be here at 6:00 sharp (LOL)!
I hit send and set down my phone with a huge smile on my face. Even better, the smile sticks around while I finish up the poster for my mom. But thebestpart about my good mood is that I barely think about Beau Slater. No more than once or twice. And even then, I’m still grinning. But that’s only because I’m excited to see my cousins. Not because of Beau.
