We all looked down at Asher. He hadn’t waited. He’d already sipped down half of his chocolate milk. “What?” he asked.

We all laughed as Cal wrapped an arm around my waist. He kissed the side of my head, and I rested my cheek on his shoulder.

“I’m so glad I never got on that plane,” I whispered.

“You’re sure you don’t have any regrets?”

“How could I have regrets?” I asked, tipping my head back to look up at him. “If I’d gone back to New York I never would have ended up here with you and Ash.”

“No. But you gave up your modeling career for us.”

I patted his chest. “In a way. But I gave it up for me. This is what I want. It’s what I’ve always wanted. And, thanks to that silly Holiday Reunion, I finally have you back. And I’m never letting go.”

Cal’s smile was sunny enough to warm me from the inside out. I was right where I was supposed to be. In his arms.

BAITED CHRISTMAS

DESCRIPTION

Age is Just a Number…

Rebecca and Jason are back for a Christmas Novella story. This holiday we’ll be revisiting some of my beloved second chance romance couples. The original Baited story was focused on the age difference between my 30-something protagonist and my 20-something alpha male love interested.

It starts with an HEA, so no typical Ali Parker drama that results in a cliff-hanger, just a fun Hallmark-like novella to curl up on the couch and enjoy this holiday season.

CHAPTER 1

REBECCA

"A little higher." Parker's voice was starting to get on my nerves. Where I loved Christmas, decorating the office and doing it late in the season was dragging me down into a less-than-jolly hole.

"Like this?" I lifted a little higher and pulled the string of lights up the wall with me.

"A little higher. Almost there."

I lifted up as high as I could and almost tipped over to the right. "Here?" I squeaked out.

"Just a tad-"

"Ugh." I turned and chucked the lights.

He laughed loudly, his cheeks burning pink as he gave me a knowing look. "I just like the way your ass looks in that skirt. Forgive me?"

"Incorrigible." I walked past him and popped him in the chest on my way toward the coffee bar. "I hope you don't behave this way with everyone else in the office. We might end up with sexual harassment suits to pay instead of Christmas bonuses."
