"I'm good with both of those. I'll be good in the kitchen and you just make it up to me in the bedroom." He kissed me again, licking at my mouth before moving back.

A growl lodged in my throat, but I pushed it down. We were always so quick to move from the softness of the relationship to the white-hot passion. Where I enjoyed that so much, I wanted to make sure that our relationship stayed grounded on something more than lust.

Parker would have laughed me all the way to the bank. Lust was a form of love in his mind, but I wasn't so sure.

We moved into the kitchen, and I took the roses from him, working to get them into a vase and fill it with water.

He breathed in deeply and moved to the stove. "We got the Deming account."

"Did you have to work hard for it?" I moved up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist before pressing myself to his back.

"Not really. The woman is a little too forward, but I told her you and I were together. Hope you're okay with that." He ran his fingers over my forearm and worked on the meal.

"Forward how?" I stiffened and moved back as he turned and pulled me tightly against him.

"Forward like some women are." He leaned down and brushed his nose by mine. "Nothing to worry about. I'm lost to you. You know that."

I lifted to my toes and kissed him. "Right. Until you decide to turn me in for a younger model."

"Not happening." He rolled his eyes, kissed me again and turned back to the stove. "Go change and get comfortable. Let's just relax and spend some time together tonight."

"I like the sound of that." I walked to the bedroom and made quick work of my suit. A pair of boy shorts and a tank top and I was back in the kitchen.

Jason plated up dinner and glanced up when I walked in. "Wow. Damn."

"Stop it." I shook my head and moved to get two wine glasses from the counter. "You've seen me like this a million times."

He moved up behind me and ran his hands down the outside of my thighs, tugging at my shorts a little as he gripped the bottom of my rear. "And it never gets old." He kissed the back of my neck, sending chill bumps racing down my skin. "Maybe dinner can wait."

"No way." I bumped him with my butt and walked back to the stove. "This looks so much better. What did you do to it?"

"Added cream."

I turned in time to watch him adjust himself. "God, you're sexy."

"Stop trying to flatter me. It will get you nowhere, Miss Martin." He reached for me and cupped my face in his strong hands.

"No? But I wanna go everywhere." I lifted up and kissed him as he growled.

"Oh yeah? Then forget I said anything. Every inch of me is up for grabs."

I chuckled and slid my hands down his back to grab his perfect ass. "Good. I'll start right here."

CHAPTER 4

JASON

Dinner was delicious the night before, but as much as I wanted to make love to Becca, my stomach started to hurt so bad that I left after we snuggled on the couch for a while. I could tell she wasn't too happy about it, but it had to do more with her being worried over Dina than anything else. It was trivial. She had nothing to worry about.

"Morning, Jason." Mary glanced up from the receptionist desk as I walked in. She'd been with the firm for a few months, and was doing great, but she was a little older than the women Parker usually hired. Becca had been involved in the hire, which was a good thing.

"Morning. You been holding down the fort?" I smiled and walked by her, pausing until she answered.

"Sure have. We got all the decorations up yesterday." She pointed and I turned to see a tree in the corner of the foyer.

"Nice. Did the bosses help out at all?"

"We sure did." Parker walked toward me from the hallway and slipped his hands into his pockets. "How did the Deming meeting go?"
