"Really good." I nodded toward Mary. "Have a great day, okay?"
"I sure will. You do the same." She turned back to the stack of papers on her desk as I joined Parker in the hallway.
"So you got the account?" He turned and walked with me toward our offices.
"Yeah. Becca didn't tell you?"
"No, but she was knee deep in something yesterday. I didn't want to bother her if I didn't have to." He stopped beside my office. "You know we're having the office party tonight."
"Yeah. I need to grab a gag gift sometime today. I'll probably run out at lunch." I flipped on the light and walked into my office.
"Grab me something too."
I chuckled and turned to face him. "I think it would probably be best to have someone besides me on the Deming account. Their CEO is a lady by the name of-"
"Dina Deming. I'm aware. How do you think we got the introduction?" Parker walked in and glanced around. "I slept with her."
"Oh shit. Really?" I shook my head before dropping down into my chair. "Then maybe you should run the account."
"No. You know I can't do that. She needs accounting help. I'm just the marketing guy." He shrugged and turned his attention back on me. "She hit on you?"
"Yeah, but something tells me that she hits on everyone." I leaned back and crossed my ankles. "It's no big deal to me, but I don't want Becca getting upset."
"Very true. I'll talk to the boss lady later today and get her thoughts on who might be a good fit for the job." He gave me a quizzical look. "You not decorating in here?"
"No." I let out a soft laugh. "Do I need to?"
"I would. Becca loves for the place to look festive."
"Even the offices?" I leaned to my right as she moved into the doorway. "Hey, baby."
"Not the offices. No." She gave Parker a look as she moved around him. "How are you feeling?"
I got up and nodded toward the door. "Parker. Close that behind you, man."
"Really?" He gave me a look and Becca turned and must have put him in his place. It was almost comical. "Fine. Jeez. Don't forget about the party tonight. I'm not running that thing by myself."
She turned back to face me and smiled. "I got you a gag gift when I went to the store a few nights back."
"Thank you." I moved toward her and pulled her into my arms, loving the way her white blouse opened and gave me a quick view of her breasts. I'd never get used to being around such a beautiful woman. "I'm sorry about last night."
"No problem. You feeling okay?" She pressed herself to the front of me, and I couldn't help but run my hands down her back to cup the top of her ass.
"Much better." I leaned down and brushed my nose by hers. "We should take a long lunch break and go back to your place. I wanna make up for lost time."
"I have a lunch meeting, but tonight?" She leaned in and kissed me. "I need you. I've slept alone for the last week."
"Me too." I kissed her again. "Send someone else on these long-ass trips, or come with me next time."
"Deal." She brushed her hand down my chest as she moved back. "I wish last night would have ended differently."
"Me too." I ran my hand over my stomach, trapping hers as she continued her descent. "Tonight."
"Good." She pulled her hand from me and walked toward the door. "The party shouldn't last too long tonight. Just a few more things and we'll be done for the year and on our way to Denver."
"Hey." I waited until she turned to face me, her dark red hair catching my attention. I wanted so damn bad to sink my fingers down into it and help encourage her to slide down to her knees for me. I hadn't opened certain doors in our sexual relationship just because I was cautious to make sure I didn't upset her.
"What?" She pressed her back to the door, causing her back to arch, her breasts to jut out a little.
