“Victor, I know you don’t know me, but I am begging you to trust me.” She then turned to Mira. “Darling, show him what you can do, but keep it small.”

Mira closed her eyes, cupped her palms together, and when she opened them, a small creature flapped its coal-black wings and rose from her palm to the shock of everyone in the room. “I can make them bigger.”

Victor stared in disbelief, and then glanced at Calista and Mira. “Make them bigger?”

“Yes, sir,” Mira replied.

“How much bigger?” he asked.

“Between the two of us, they will be large enough and aggressive enough to distract the Lycan’s and the Faye. If even for a moment, it will give our warrior’s an opportunity to strike,” Calista answered. “Is there any way you can let them know?”

“I can, Milady.” His palm slid from the door, and he held it up in a gesture for them to wait a moment.“Klyn?”

“Speak,”Klyn replied telepathically, sounding breathless.

“Let the others know something is coming their way from above. Do not let them distract you,”Victor replied.

“What the fuck are you talking about?”Klyn asked.

“It’s Calista and Mira. I am not sure what they are up to, but from what I just witnessed, there will be some sort of flying creatures raining down on the Faye and the Lycan.”

“What you are saying makes no fucking sense,”Klyn stated.

“I agree, but as their commander, they will trust your word.”

“I don’t understand what the fuck is going on up there, but I trust you and I will get the word out.”

They materialized where the stallions had been, and Riordan handed Sylvana over to Kadric. “I have ordered you to be placed under guard, but in light of the situation I will put it aside. Take our mate, and hide her until either myself, Nicolai, or Kieran call to you.”

“What’s happening?” Kadric asked.

“The Faye and the Lycans have breached the main gates. I will leave twelve of my warriors behind to ensure your safety.”

“She is still my daughter, and I will protect her with my life, milord.” Kadric took her in his arms and called to Cadell telepathically.“Cadell?”

“Kadric?Where the hell have you been?”

“I don’t have time to explain, and I need your help. There has been a breech at the castle. I have Sylvana and she’s in bad shape.”

“We are well aware of the breach.”Cadell replied.“We are on the outskirts of the castle fighting the Faye and Lycan. Where are you?”

“I’m on the North side of the Black Moor and I’m heading to my manor now. I need you to secure Alaric, Calista, and Mira.”

“You don’t know?”Cadell questioned.

“Know what?”Kadric asked.

“The Acherons have taken them and secured them in the castle,”Cadell replied.

“You have to be fucking kidding me?”

“There is much to discuss. We will talk when we meet,”Cadell said as he helped Leodion with the Lycan. After which, he turned to Markus and Leodion. “I have to go. Kadric has Sylvana and he needs my help.”

“I will go with in case you run into trouble,” Markus replied.

“As will I,” Leodion offered as he ducked under another swipe of a Lycan’s clawed hand.

Cadell, Leodion, and Markus ran through the fray, leapt over the fallen, and headed for Kadric.
