Venthana wrapped an arm around one of Sylvana’s and walked her to her group of friends. “Ladies, I’d like to introduce you to the Acheron’s girl, Sylvana.”
“I’m not their girl,” Sylvana replied nervously.
“You could have fooled us. They have never brought a girl here,” Aurelia said.
“Really?” Sylvana asked.
“Really,” Venthana replied.
Sylvana glanced at Nicolai and Kieran. “I’m surprised. I’m aware of their reputations.”
“They are everything you have heard and more.” Stefania chuckled.
Venthana playfully pushed Stefania’s shoulder. “Stop messing with her.”
“Tis true,” she stated.
“Worry about how they treat you, not what others say.” Venthana then pulled on Sylvana’s vest. “I see you have blue, and we have red.”
“That means you’re on the beasts’ team. They will do whatever they can to embarrass you,” Aurelia said.
“Wonderful,” Sylvana replied.
“We will have to do something about this. Come girls,” Venthana said.
Sylvana watched as they headed toward the girls and, from what she could tell, a minor altercation broke out amongst them.Apparently, they don’t want to give up their colors. However, it wasn’t long before they were headed back wearing blue vests.
“Watch your back. They will come for us,” Aurelia laughed.
Another round began and as Sylvana ran across the room with Venthana and Aurelia, someone grabbed her from behind and bent over her and knocked a spear down that almost hit her. “It about took you out, milady,” Klyn smiled.
“However can I thank you for saving my life?” she joked.
“I’m sure I can think of a way, eventually,” he teased.
Chapter 7
Nicolaiwasstandingonthe sidelines with Sylvana wrapped in his arms. “What do you say we go elsewhere and relax?”
“I’d love to. What do you have in mind?”
“Kieran, let’s go,”Nicolai said telepathically.
Nicolai patted Klyn’s shoulder. “We’re heading out. Want to join us?
“Absolutely.”
Venthana looked at Sylvana. “Are the two of you leaving so soon? Dawn won’t be here for hours.”
“The three of us are leaving,” Kieran replied as he picked his goblet up.
“Klyn, you’re coming as well?”“Yes. If you don’t mind?” Klyn replied.
“Not at all.” She smiled.
“Sylvana, this Damascus, a friend of ours,” Klyn said.
Damascus nodded politely. “Good to make your acquaintance, milady.”
