But I’m not going to do that. It’s just a nice fantasy. Maybe I should leave or find a good hiding spot. Watching Luca with someone else would definitely extinguish my arousal in a second.
His gaze lands on me, and he strides toward me with a smile on his face. I want to glance over my shoulder because I’m sure there’s someone standing behind my back who elicited that smile, but I fight the urge.
I’ll see who it is once Luca walks past me.
“I didn’t expect to run into you here,” he says as he stops right in front of me.
My jaw goes slack. What? How...?
You remember me?I want to ask, but it’s better if I don’t. So I just gape at him like a fish, unsure what to say.
“Um, yeah. I’m full of surprises,” I blurt out.
“Yes, you are.”
I just smile at him. What now? I can’t ask him why he’s here. It’s kind of obvious. Can I ask him if he’s here with someone?
“Are you here with someone?” he asks.
Well, I guess we’re wondering the same thing. Kind of.
“I’m with Julia. Er, I mean, we came here together, but she’s with her...” I don’t know what that guy is to her.
“Ah. So are you trying to decide what you like? Or are you just looking for the right person to do it with?”
I blink at him. “I don’t know. I’m just... Actually, maybe I’ll go.”
“There are private rooms here too. We can go there. Have a drink. Talk. Or...” He leans in, his mouth grazing my ear. “We can explore your fantasies.”
My insides clench with need. I want that, but it’s as if my vocal cords have been frozen. Voicing my desires isn’t something that I do very often. Actually, my parents do everything they can to silence me, and what I want never matters.
Whenever I say something about my needs and wants, something bad happens. It’s illogical that I worry about it now. Luca won’t laugh at me or tell me my desires are stupid and don’t matter.
But I can’t help myself. I’m like a bird that’s been stuck in a cage its whole life, and now that the door’s wide open, it’s afraid to spread its wings and fly away.
I should tell Luca that I’m just overwhelmed, but I don’t think he’d understand.
“How about this? You point your finger at what you’d like to try, and we’ll go to my room and make it happen,” he says.
Now that’s a very, very tempting offer. Can I do it?
It’s definitely easier to point than to say it out loud. How messed up is that?
“Okay,” I say softly.
“Let’s take a walk around, and you can show me.” He snakes his arm around me and pulls me close.
His warmth seeps into me, and I feel safe in his embrace. A guy steps in our direction, but one glare from Luca, and he backs away.
I guess Luca doesn’t like the idea of sharing. I don’t either. I’m just so glad he’s here. It’s as if fate put him in my path again, but I still don’t know if it’s a blessing or a curse.
When I point my finger at the first thing I want to try, I’m not afraid. I’m actually confident. It’s a nice change.
Luca’s lips spread into a smile. I guess he likes what I like, which is very, very good.
Once we’re done with our little tour, Luca takes me to a dark, purple hallway and into one of the rooms. My eyes bulge as I take it in. Well, this room is definitely different.
It’s in purple and black colors, and there are sex toys hanging from the walls and all kinds of benches and contraptions. It’s as if someone took everything from the rooms in the rest of the club and crammed it all in here.
