Rock was able to get Ranger and Brute to come with him to help Diamond pack up and move. He and Brute were in the box truck, with Ranger following them on his bike. The plan was to pack them up that day and the next morning, and return to Warden’s Pass tomorrow.

“Pretty fucking excited,” Rock admitted, allowing a smile to grow on his face.

“I like Diamond,” Brute told him and patted him on the shoulder. “She’s a good woman, a good mom.”

“Wait until you spend some time with her kids.” Rock chuckled and took a left. “Miles is gonna be one of us. He’s determined. Sweet Jenna is just full of smiles and optimism.”

“Well, I’m looking forward to getting to know my new niece and nephew. Did you warn Diamond her babies are about to get spoiled to all hell?”

Grinning, Rock nodded. “She’s aware. I think it’s about time those kids see what it means to have a real family. They deserve it.”

“Uncle Brute’s on it,” Brute said in that low, deep voice of his.

Rock took a right onto Diamond’s street. When he got to the house where Diamond was renting the upstairs, he parked at the curb and killed the engine. Ranger rounded the truck on his bike and parked in front of the box truck.

When Rock climbed out of the truck, Ranger gave him a grin and called out, “Let’s do this. It’s time to bring our family home.”

“Damn straight,” Brute agreed.

Unable to hide his happiness, Rock smiled and led them up to Diamond’s apartment. He knocked on her door before he opened it with his key and stepped inside.

He had just opened his mouth to call out for Diamond or the kids, when a screeching bundle of pink and purple charged him. “Weeeeeeeeesssssss!” The bundle stopped right before she ran into him and looked up. “Wait. I mean… Dad.” Then, Jenna giggled and wrapped her arms around Rock’s waist.

Rock bent down and scooped her up into his arms. “How’s my Jenna?”

“I’m happy. I’m getting a new sister and a new brother and a new dad.” She gave him a huge grin. “And a new room!”

“Yup. Do you want to meet some of your new family? These two are my brothers. This is Ranger.” He pointed in Ranger’s direction. “And this is Brute.” He motioned to Brute. “You can call them by their names or uncle or whatever you want. Okay?”

Jenna nodded and blushed. She leaned closer to Rock and looked at them before she hid her face in Rock’s neck. “Hi. I’m Jenna.”

As the men greeted Jenna, there was a shout from the other room. “Mom! Rock’s here! Come on! We gotta go!” Then, Miles ran into the living room. He stopped running as soon as he got into the room. He lifted his chin and started walking like he was cool.

Rock bit the inside of his cheek to hold back his laugh. “Miles. Good to see you.” He held out his free hand to the little boy.

Miles took his hand and shook it. “Good to see you, Rock.”

Rock introduced Miles to Ranger and Brute. Just like he expected, his brothers knelt down and pulled Miles into conversation. Seeing it, Jenna kissed his cheek and asked to be put down. Rock chuckled but set her on her feet.

Knowing they were good and would be occupied with his brothers, Rock went in search of his woman. He glanced in the kitchen, but she wasn’t there, so he reversed course and went to her bedroom. He turned the knob and stepped in, closing the door behind him.
