WhenBriwokeup, the first thing she noticed was there was a hand between her legs and a hand cupping her breast. Glancing over her shoulder, she smiled when she saw a sleeping Rebel cuddled up behind her.
As much as she liked the visual and being in his arms, she had to use the restroom. Carefully, she slid out of his grasp. She was almost to the edge of the bed, when two hands grabbed her hips and pulled her back against Rebel.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Rebel sleepily asked against her neck.
“I gotta use the restroom,” she replied and smiled as his lips left soft, wet kisses on her skin.
“I guess,” he grumbled and let go of her. “Hurry back.”
Ruby turned enough to kiss his lips, then she climbed off the bed and went to his bathroom. When she was done taking care of her morning business, she returned to his bedroom, only to find that Rebel had drifted off back to sleep.
She found her panties and pulled them on. Then, she snatched up one of his shirts and pulled it over her head, thankful that it almost reached her knees. As quietly as possible, she left the bedroom and headed to the kitchen with the intention of making some tea.
She had just reached the kitchen counter when the twins came out of the hallway and stepped into the room. She froze and stared at them, unsure what to do.
“Morning,” Ryker commented as Ross just grinned.
“Morning,” she replied. “I was going to make some tea.”
“Sounds good. We have to grab some breakfast before we head to the compound.”
That’s when Bri noticed the cuts they were wearing. On the front right panel was the Howlers logo. The left had a patch that just saidProspect. When Ross passed her, she saw that it also had the Howlers logo larger on the back, just like Rebel’s, but it didn’t have what Rebel had told her was the top and bottom rockers.
During one of their casual conversations, he had told her that some clubs don’t even give the club’s colors until the prospect patched in. After some questions, she found out that those words translated to some clubs don’t give the prospect the large logo on the back of the vest until they have earned their full membership to the club.
The nerdy part of her loved that club life practically had its own language. It was neat that they had their own set of rules, words, and way of doing things. Her curiosity had her peppering him with questions until a grin appeared on his face. She had blushed which had led to them making out on the couch.
“So, you’re… prospecting for the Howlers? Is that what it’s called?”
Ross nodded as he grabbed a box of cereal out of the pantry. “Yup.”
“And that means you have to do everything the members tell you, right?”
It was Ryker’s turn to nod. “Yup. I think bathrooms at the businesses in the strip mall are on the agenda for the day.”
“Ew. Bathrooms.” She turned and grabbed the kettle off of Rebel’s stove, moving to the sink to fill it.
“Part of the gig. If it earns us membership to the club, it will be worth it,” Ross said as he grabbed two bowls from the cupboard.
Ryker grabbed the milk from the refrigerator and turned around. “So… you’re moving in?”
Bri almost dropped the kettle into the sink at Ryker’s question. “Wh-what?” She shut off the water and turned to face him.
Staring at the stuff Rebel bought her the night before still on the counter, he nodded to it. “Do you need help grabbing your stuff? I’m sure we could call Axle and let him know we’re helping you and Rebel.”
“N-no. No.” She shook her head, took a deep breath, and swallowed hard. “Uh… no. Rebel was just making sure I had… stuff here… in case…”
“Oh.” Ryker shrugged. “I don’t know why you guys are waiting. You’re mates, but that’s your business.”
“W-would you care? When we get to that point, would it… bother you guys?”
Ross looked at her like she lost her mind. “Why would we care?”
“I don’t know. I just… wouldn’t want you to feel like I’m… invading your space.”
“Nah. We’re good,” Ross said and set the bowls on the top of the island. As he filled the bowls with cereal, Ryker retrieved spoons from the drawer.
Neither of them seemed bothered at all. They just asked her life-altering questions while they acted like they asked her what the weather was going to be like for the day.
