“What?” Ruby didn’t know what the woman’s problem was, but her stare was making her uncomfortable.

“You bit him?”

Confused as to where this was going, Ruby slowly nodded. “Yes.”

“You bit him, so he’s yours.” Then the crazy bitch smiled. “Niiiiiiice.” She extended her arm and hand which was balled into a fist.

Ruby chuckled as she bumped Kisy’s hand with her own fist.

Butterfly snorted a laugh. “Youwouldthink that’s nice. You licked Dragon in front of the entire club to claim him.”

“Yeah… and?” Kisy shrugged.

“Don’t forget about breaking Pumps’s nose,” Pixie added with a grin.

Ruby shook her head and laughed. “You are all a bit insane, but I think I like it.”

Sugar giggled. “Well, that’s good, because you’re stuck with us now.”

Ruby’s phone buzzed with a text message. As she pulled her phone out of her purse, she laughed at what she saw on the screen.

Rebel

“So, having Bobby be the insider is out,” Axle said with an annoyed sigh. “They hit his bar while the police were at the library. I don’t think it’s the same person. This time, they actually knew how to spell.”

“What did it say?” Rebel asked as he looked down the table at his president, irritation building in his gut. They fucked with Ruby and Bobby, two people whose only crime was being connected to them. That shit was bonkers.

It was Skull who answered. “‘Monsters gather here’was painted along the front in lime green.”

Pike nodded. “He’s pissed. I had to talk him out of storming down to town hall and laying into anyone he could find. Bobby said something about hearing some rumors that a few of the members of whatever group is responsible for this are on the town council. He said he’d keep his ears open for more information, but he made it clear he’s on our side in this. I still don’t feel right asking Bobby to stick his neck out even further for us.”

The entire club murmured sounds of agreement.

“Are we sending someone over to clean it up?” Ranger asked.

Axle shook his head. “After Pike talked him down and talked some sense into him, he decided it wouldn’t be a good idea. He doesn’t want to draw any more attention to his bar. And I can’t say I blame him.” Another sigh. “Think on other options. Come to me if anything clicks.”

There was more agreement around the table.

“Now… for the fun stuff.” Axle stood and approached the shelving unit in the corner. After opening the doors, he pulled out a familiar looking cut and shut the doors. “Should I even bother trying to give this one myself?”

“I’ll do it,” Ranger said and stood, holding out his hand to take the cut.

“Wait!” Pike shot to his feet. “I want to do it!”

“No way!” Ranger glared at Pike.

“Why would you get to do it?”

Ignoring the two idiots, Rebel got to his feet and headed for the door, following Axle out of the room. Pike and Ranger continued arguing all the way down the stairs. By the time they got to the main room of the club house, Pike and Ranger were shoving each other. It wasn’t long before both of them were rolling around on the floor.

Rock shook his head and approached Axle. “Give it to me.”

Axle went to hand over the cut, when suddenly, Pike and Ranger stopped fighting, Ranger pointed a finger at Rock, and warned, “Don’t you even think about it.”

Rock chuckled and held up his hands in front of him.

Ranger hopped to his feet and snatched the cut from Axle’s hand.
