“Oh, really,” Nick said.

Macy nodded. “We’re all Doms and want to live a different type of lifestyle. There’s got to be others around here in a relationship that’s not the norm, but they have no place to go. We looked it up, and the nearest kink club is three hundred miles away. So, we’re considering opening a club that caters to people like us. How else are they supposed to meet or have places to relax?”

“I love that idea. Do you know how you want to do it?” Nick asked.

“We’re still talking about it. We did find a building that would work. It’s nondescriptive and not on any main street. We don’t want to advertise what we do,” Caden said.

“You should think about taking the ranch I’m buying. It’s in the middle of nowhere, but not far from town. There would less likely be people gawking. There’s plenty of land, so you could build the club as big as you want.”

“We’ll check it out. If we don’t want it will you still plan on starting construction on a house?” Jake asked.

“I’m not sure. Janessa had mentioned renting it out, but that would be down the road. It would be a lot to take on. The house is in bad shape, and I think it should just be torn down and a new one started, but if you want to build the club on it, you guys could just buy it. The closing won’t be for another few weeks. They did accept the offer, and I’ve signed the papers. Now I’m just waiting on all the red tape.”

“What if it doesn’t work out with you and Janessa?” Link asked.

“I don’t doubt we’ll be together for the rest of our lives. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a woman.”

“You’re so fucking lucky,” Macy said.

Nick smiled. “I know I am. Now we just have to get you guys a sub.”

“We have time,” Caden said. “I’m in no hurry.”

The men talked for another hour before everyone started to get up.

“Just tell me if there’s something I can do to help. I want you to get to know Janessa, so maybe we can all go out or something.”

“Sounds good. You can help think of ideas for the club,” Jake said.

“Let me talk to Janessa and see what she thinks,” Nick said.

They all agreed and headed out.

Ten minutes later, he pulled into the driveway, parked, and looked around. He spotted a sheriff’s car next to one of the barns and was headed that way when he heard voices.

When he caught sight of Janessa and saw she didn’t look stressed, he calmed and walked up to them. The sheriff immediately put his hand on the butt of his gun.

“Hi, Nick,” Janessa said.

He walked over to her, wrapped an arm around her waist, and kissed the side of her head.

“Nick, this is Sheriff Bishop.”

Nick stepped forward to shake the man’s hand. So far, he wasn’t getting a bad vibe from the guy. Just cautious, which was normal for a dominant alpha man.

“Call me Daniel,” the sheriff said and shook his hand.

“It’s nice to meet you,” Nick said and then pulled Janessa closer to his body. “Is there a problem?”

Janessa shook her head. “No, he heard about what Trevor, the banker, was doing from the other bank and wondered why I hadn’t come to him.”

Nick’s eyebrows rose. “Oh?”

“Where did you hear that from, Daniel?” Nick asked.

“From Julie at First National Bank.”

Nick nodded. “We should have come directly to you.”
