The guys stood and headed their way.
Crush walked up next to him. “If it weren’t for them, we’d have chili, pizza, or hamburgers every night.”
“That would suck. I’ve never tasted anything as good as what these women make,” Titan said.
“None of us have, but they love it,” Fury said.
Titan walked in the back door and looked around at the activity. He stood back and studied the girls. They were all buzzing around doing something, but it looked like they were having the time of their lives and really enjoying it. A few of the guys teased the girls. It made them laugh, but he could tell several of them blushed, too. How do they stay so innocent living with an MC club?
Titan got in line and grabbed a plate. He heard one of the guys ask the girls what the green stuff was on his plate. He also wanted to know what lettuce was doing there.
“Try it, Buck,” Kyra said. “It has dressing on it. I think you’ll like it.”
Buck picked up a piece of lettuce and sniffed it before his face scrunched up.
“Try one little piece,” Tara said. “If you don’t like it, throw it away. We’ll never know who didn’t like it, but we’ll keep trying to make you guys eat healthier.”
“Why?” Buck whined.
Tara rolled her eyes. “Move along so other people can get their food.”
“Fine,” Buck said and walked out the back door.
Titan wasn’t so keen on the salad either, but he wouldn’t fuss about it in front of the girls. If he didn’t like it, he’d throw it somewhere. Maybe the fire.
He took a seat outside. The first bite he took made him moan.
“Told ya,” Traeger said. “I’ll just admit it to you guys, but I like the salad, too. They put something on it. I wouldn’t be able to eat it any other way.”
Titan picked up a piece and smelled it before placing it in his mouth. Fuck, how the hell had they made even lettuce taste good?
There was so much more to living with the Devils, and he had yet to find anything he didn’t like.
Chapter Five
The girls cleaned up and then watched a movie before bedtime. A few of the guys came to get them before it ended.
When the movie was done, Jada decided to go to her room because she didn’t see Titan and hadn’t seen him since he picked up a plate of food. Maybe he’d changed his mind? It happened. She wasn’t going to freak out about it.
Jada locked herself in her room, stripped her clothes off, and jumped into the shower. She scrubbed her hair and body and stood under the water. After she turned the water off, she wrapped a white towel around her torso and grabbed another one to squeeze the water out of her hair before she blow-dried it. That took a while because it was long and thick.
She brushed her teeth and walked into her bedroom to get her nightgown. A scream burst from her throat when she saw Titan reclined on the bed with his back to the headboard. One of his feet was on the floor, and the other was bent at the knee with his boot off the blanket.
She pressed a hand to her chest. “You scared the shit out of me.” She scowled and looked at the door. “How the hell did you get in here?”
“I broke in.”
“Titan, you can’t just break into a woman’s room.”
“I can if she’s mine.”
She studied his face. “You sound mad.”
“No, not mad. I thought you were hiding from me.”
She shook her head. “No. The movie was over, and you weren’t around, so I decided to shower.”
“I was helping a guy with his bike.”
