“I finally gave in to Titan last night.”

“How was it?” Lindsey asked and grinned.

Jada couldn’t help but smile. “I didn’t know it could be that good.”

“And it only gets better as time passes,” Tara said.

Every woman nodded in agreement.

“Jesus. That just might kill me.”

The girls laughed.

“So, what’s the problem?” Chelsea asked.

“I ran this morning while he was in the shower,” Jada told them.

Chelsea snorted. “Only pussies run, woman.”

Amelia gasped. “She probably had a good reason.”

Chelsea rolled her eyes.

Amelia turned to Jada. “Tell us, and it better be good, or I’ll think you’re a pussy.”

The table froze for a moment and then erupted in laughter.

“You never fail to surprise me, Amelia,” Ella said and grinned.

“Good,” Amelia said in a prissy voice, making them laugh again.

Jada inhaled. “I was overwhelmed and didn’t want to burst into tears when I saw him. He’d ask why I was crying, and I’d tell him I didn’t know. That’s a great way to freak a man out. I showered in my room and felt better with just that little bit of time.”

They all nodded.

Tara nodded. “I can understand that, but Titan isn’t going to understand that because he’s a guy.”

Jada tore her napkin into little scraps and put them in a pile in front of her. “I haven’t seen him at all, and Kyra just told me that he and some of the guys left this morning and will be gone for a few days. He didn’t say anything about it to me. Did I fuck up, you guys?”

She could feel her eyes sting, and she swallowed to keep from crying.

Ella reached out and took her hand. “I don’t think so. He doesn’t seem like the type of person that gives up.”

“I agree with that,” the girls said.

“Couldn’t he have told someone he was leaving and get word to me?” Jada asked.

“Guys are stupid,” Zoe said.

Tara groaned. “Girl, you’ll get your butt beat again if you keep doing that.”

Jada chuckled because every chance Zoe got, she called the guys stupid.

Zoe shrugged. “I tell it as I see it.”

The women laughed.

“They didn’t say when they would be back,” Kyra said.
