The guys laughed.

“How’d that go?” Dre asked.

Titan grinned. “Good. She understands where her place is now.”

They all laughed.

Crush grunted. “I wouldn’t say that too loud because you’ll be kicked to the curb again if she hears it.”

“She’ll have to deal with it,” Titan said.

The men with old ladies all laughed.

“What?” Titan asked.

“She’s never just going to deal with it and do what you say,” Fury said.

Seriously. The Prez’s woman disobeys him? “Doesn’t that piss you off?”

Fury nodded. “It did at first, but I finally came to the realization that to keep these women, you have to give in sometimes. They’re so damn sweet until you piss them off.”

The same men groaned.

“You all have had to deal with that?” Titan asked.

They nodded.

“I think we’ve all majorly pissed our women off at least once.”

“If you’re smart, it’s only once,” Savage said.

Titan couldn’t believe it. These were the scariest men he’d ever known, and seeing them afraid to piss off their women shocked him. “Why?”

“Because it hurts their feelings,” Enforcer said.

Titan almost choked. He’d never heard words from the man, but he was spouting about hurting a woman’s feelings.

Fury laughed. “Yeah, it’s shocking. A few of us have thought we were pussies to think like that, but these women are special. They don’t see the vests, they see the man. They’re as loyal as they come, and damned if they don’t like taking care of us. They also shock the shit out of us sometimes. It’s never a dull moment around here with them.”

Titan stared into the flames and thought about it for a while. He’d play it by ear for now. He’d never had to deal with a woman and her feelings, so he had much to learn.

“Don’t forget you have us,” Traeger said.

Titan nodded.

Someone yelled out the back door that dinner was ready.

“Holy shit, Ella told me they made lasagna, they just had to bake it,” Ax said.
