“We already told them everything. They’re just eating,” Razar assured me. “But if you want, we can go down there.”

“I would love that, especially if it means more coffee,” I said happily, letting out a pleased hum as he pressed a kiss to my jaw before letting me slide down his body.Man was he freakin’ hard…and despite being tired, my body began to heat to his. So much that he literally almost tossed me over his shoulder, grumbling about not being able to be alone with me anymore. I hardly thought it was that bad…well, probably.

“How long have I been sleeping?” I asked curiously as he transferred me into a bridal hold before setting me down to continue our journey.

“You fell asleep the night before last, so over a day.”

Coming full stop, my brows shot up. “What?!”

“How long had you thought?” he mused. “We were worried, but it was pretty obvious you’d overexerted yourself by using so much power, so the healers convinced us it made sense.”

I nearly smiled at that, not super surprised he said ‘convinced us’ because logic and reason didn’t always apply to my men.

“I thought maybe half a day,” I murmured, and when we passed my normal breakfast room, I slipped in and grabbed a to-go cup of coffee before we continued our normal journey down to the main floor of the institute. Although this time, instead of going to the office, we went towards the dining hall. I listened eagerly as Razar updated me on everything going on, and when he growled at one of the guards we passed, I couldn’t help but feel everything settle in me.

Not because of the possessive action, although I did love that—no, it was that everything felt like it was returning to normal, except it was so much better because these men were now mine.

Talking about men…

“Saint,” I sang as I walked into the dining hall, finding the man threatening a Class B terror, a large man with blue skin and silver hair. He was honestly sort of cool looking, but that wasn’t my main focus. No, that was completely on Saint.

I had absolutely no idea why he was confronting the man or what he was saying, but I could tell it was threatening. The others were watching on eagerly—well, until I called out. Then they were all looking at me, and I couldn’t help my cheeks warming at their direct attention. You would think after all this time I would be used to it, but I didn’t think I would ever fully be so.

“Flower.” Saint turned towards me, flashing a dangerous smile. “You’re awake.”

“I am.” I squeezed Razar’s hand as I approached Saint and ran my hand up his chest, ignoring the other terror momentarily. “What areyoudoing? This doesn’t look like breakfast.”

“Oh, we have breakfast right here for you,” Zain called out with a helpful smile, nodding towards the table.

“That is four plates.” I laughed, unable to stop myself.

“You’ve been asleep forever, which means you have to eat at least one plate for every eight hours of sleep…or something like that,” Damian murmured at the end, and I nearly shook my head wondering, where on earth he’d read that.

“Saint,” I prompted. He was still glaring at the Class B terror, who was standing silently, watching our interaction in shock.

“This nightmare,” Saint hissed, “was asking about you.”

“It’s true,” Blackwell said in support. “He asked if you were okay. Apparently his team was wondering.”

I followed the Class B terror’s gaze, which darted over to a large table of both female and male nightmares watching in concern. I sighed and looked back at Saint.

“Can you believe that?” Saint growled. “Ridiculous.”

“Thank you for asking,” I said with a small smile directed towards the terror. “You can tell your team I’m good.”

“Thanks for everything, Arabella—”

“Do not say precious’s name,” Amun growled, appearing next to me. The man jumped and put up his hands defensively before literally running away. Saint nodded, satisfied with both Amun’s assertion and the nightmare’s response.

I gave both of them an indulgent smile while shaking my head. “Ridiculous.” Rounding the table, I sat between Cy and Ashur. The first wrapped his hand around my thigh and pressed a kiss to the top of my ear, whispering a simple ‘good morning’ that had my entire chest lighting up.

Ashur slid a plate in front of me, running a hand up my back. “How are you feeling, my moon?”

“Much better,” I assured before I looked around in confusion. “Wait, Razar, didn’t you say the kids were down here?”

“They went to go play outside,” Zain said. “Stopped raining for a little bit, so figured it was a good chance for them to get some fresh air—plus, Mykia shifted back into her hellfox form for now, so I think she wanted to go out too.”

“They’re doing okay though?” I asked, analyzing all of their expressions and seeing no level of concern there. I figured they would be okay, but it still was a big relief to see it in my men’s expressions.
