He wiped the offending moisture away as he snuggled into Teagan’s solid body.
“Wishing Granny Brambilla was here.”
“Why, so she could beat my ass at cribbage?”
“Well,” Benny snickered, “maybe. But mostly I think she’d be happy I finally found my way to you, to this family and my home. And you bought me goats. In some parts of the world that’s a marriage proposal in itself. I didn’t have to ask you to marry me, you asked me first.”
Teagan’s arms tightened around Benny’s shoulders.
