"Clearly you do."
"Can we change the subject?"
"Just tell me you’ll give it a whirl."
Nope. Not going to happen!
"Sure, I'll give... it... a whirl."
"Now that's what I'm talking about." She grins in a way that makes me cringe inside. This is my orgasm, or lack of it, we're talking about here... and I don't want to have a discussion about my orgasm with my cousin. "Do you want to watch Magic Mike? Might give you some inspiration."
"I'm perfectly fine, thank you very much. Anyway, let's not talk about me anymore, let's talk about you instead."
"Me? What do you want to know?"
"I don't know. Just tell me something."
"Okay. When I was five I thought Dad was a spy because he grew a moustache."
I reach over and poke her in the arm. "Be serious. Let's talk about you and Aydin."
"Not a lot to tell, to be honest. I love him. He makes me very happy and I think I make him happy as well."
"I can see that. He's very hands on with you."
Ginny giggles. "I'm a very lucky girl."
"Yes you are." I refill Ginny's glass of red. "So future plans? You'll stay here? In Bodrum?"
"He's got a home in Istanbul as well, but I think we'll stay here for the first few years at least until this place becomes established."
"I mean, are you ever going to come back to Oz?"
"With everything that's going on in the world right now, getting a visa approved for Aydin is pretty much impossible. We can't even get an interview at the consulate until next year."
"And marriage?"
"We're doing a wedding here, probably in December and then hopefully go to Australia the following year for a summer wedding down under."
"But long term you'll be staying in Turkey?"
Ginny frowns at me, but not in an angry way, more like she's exacerbated by my question. "This is my home now, Liv. Aydin will never leave Emine behind and I will never leave Aydin. We're a family."
"It's all very adult. I mean you're a step-mother now!"
"Can you believe it? I bloody well can't believe it but Emme's a great kid. I love her."
"Does she ever see her mother? Or is she completely out of the picture?"
"Not so far, but I'm pretty sure she'll be over here before the end of the season. Aricia works at the Mandarin in International Relations and she told me that some Hollywood player has rented a duplex for the whole month of November for his girlfriend and has a list of requirements a mile long. That sounds exactly like Simge, taking some other poor smuck for a ride."
“Deniz said that she was dating some superhero.”
“Yeah but don’t expect me to tell you which one, I wouldn’t have a clue.”
"Maybe I'll get to meet her if I'm still here."
"Maybe you'll get to watch me throw her under a truck if she tries it on with Aydin again."
