So if you’re lookin’ to find love you can share

All you gotta do is

Hold him and kiss him and love him

And show him that you care

Following up the words, she wraps her arms around my neck, and her smile turns knowingly when she feels how hard I am against her stomach, but her dancing never falters and neither does her voice.

Show him that you care just for him

Do the things he likes to do

Wear your hair just for him, ’cause

You won’t get him

Thinkin’ and a-prayin’

Wishin’ and hopin’

Just wishin’ and hopin’ and thinkin’ and prayin’

Plannin’ and dreamin’ his kiss is the start

That won’t get you into his heart…

Not being able to hold back any longer, I cup her tight ass then shut her up with a kiss. She moans into my mouth and gives just as good as she gets, spearing her fingers in my hair.

Fuck, I love how she can go from cold to hot in a matter of seconds. I know if I shoved my hand up her sundress and into her panties she would be wet and ready for me. I consider doing just that when I hear the front door fly open.

“Okay, I’m here, the party can start now.”

I groan when I hear Katelyn’s voice. She comes walking into the kitchen carrying a big bowl with a present stacked on top. “Oops, bad timing?” she asks with a smirk, not looking guilty at all for busting up my make out session.

Faith snickers and gives me one more kiss before pushing away from me. “No, your timing is fine,” she lies, taking the bowl from Katelyn and giving her a kiss on the cheek. “Thanks for bringing this.”

“No problem. Where is the birthday boy?”

“He is walking Alissa here, they shouldn’t be much longer.”

“He walked to her house to pick her up and is walking her back here?” Faith smiles and nods. “Okay, that is ridiculously sweet. Any guy I’ve ever dated would never do something like that.”

I grunt. That’s because she dates fucking losers.

She glares at me, “Got something to say, Walker?”

“Yeah, maybe try dating a different kind of guy and you would,” I reply, sitting at the table.

“Oh you mean a real happy gem like yourself?”

I scowl at her before Faith intervenes. “All right you two, that’s enough. Be nice to each other, especially tonight.”

The thing is, we have come to a silent agreement of sorts and I actually don’t mind the chick. We both have one thing in common, we care about Red, and she has lightened up on me since I have been staying here.

“Of course we will. I can’t wait for you to meet Papa,” she smirks as if I should be concerned. The grandpa I am not worried about, but the father? Well that is a different story. I have been trying not to think about it, because every time I do my blood begins to boil and hatred rushes through me. I know it’s not logical but I can’t help it. I am hoping I will be able to control it, for at least tonight, because the last thing I want to do is upset Red.

“Tatewyn!” Ruthie comes running upstairs from watching TV and excitedly launches herself at Katelyn.

She scoops her up, “Hey there, beauty queen. Guess what Auntie Katelyn brought you?”

“What?”

She walks over to the counter where she put her purse and pulls out a bottle of pink sparkly nail polish.

Jesus really? She’s six.

“Oh wow, I wuv it, tank you,” Ruthie beams while giving her a hug then holds the bottle against her beanie. “I fink it will wook good wif my hat.”

“It will look perfect with your hat. I will do your nails later, before bed.”

Before anyone can say more, the doorbell rings. Ruthie jumps out of Katelyn’s arms and rushes to the door with Katelyn close behind her.

I decide to let them answer it so I can watch Red struggle to reach something from the top cabinet. The top of her dress rising high enough for me to catch a small glimpse of hot pink, satin panties. Ones that will be ripped off later tonight. When she starts jumping I give in and stop being a dick.

I walk over and cage her in, “I got it, Red. What do you need?”

She turns around, pressing against me, “The seasoning salt, please… and thank you.” As I reach up, she shoves her hand up my shirt and scores her nails down my abs, the small sting shooting straight to my dick. She giggles when a low growl erupts from my chest. I am seriously going to fuck the shit out of her…

“Hey, Country, do you know this kid by chance?” Evans booming question breaks me from my thoughts and I turn around to see him holding a giggling Ruthie, upside down by one leg. The whole gang: Grace, Jaxson, Julia, Kayla, Cooper and Katelyn, who is holding Annabelle, file into the kitchen.

Red sneaks around me then walks up to Ruthie and pretends to assess her. “Hmm, I think I know this little girl, she looks sort of familiar…”

“Ah what the hell, let’s throw her in the garbage,” Evans says, causing her to squirm and squeal.

“Oh no you don’t. Tade will beat you up if you frow me away.”

Evans lifts her leg higher until her upside down face is level with his, “Is that what this guy has been telling you? That he can beat me up? He’s lying, kid. No one can beat me up.”

Jaxson and I both grunt before I walk over and rip her leg from his and turn her right side up. She giggles and wraps her arms tightly around my neck. “Quit filling her head with lies.”

“Shall we prove it?” he challenges with a cocky grin.

“All right, just settle down. No one is proving anything.” Faith chuckles while taking everyone’s presents and giving them a hug.

Just then Christopher and Alissa come walking in, holding hands.

“Hey, there’s the handsome birthday boy,” Katelyn announces before walking over and giving him a kiss on the cheek, which has the poor kid’s face turning tomato red.
