“Happy?” I wipe the corner of my mouth.
He grabs me and hauls me up, kissing me until I can’t breathe. Breaking away, he rests his forehead against mine and whispers, “I knew that mouth was good for something.”
A laugh bursts out of me, and I swat at him. “You’re such a jerk,” I growl, but he shuts me up with another soul-snatching kiss.
God, these alphas are perfect.

Lycus keeps me locked in his room, lavishing me, for the entire night and most of the day. My stomach finally protests loud enough for him to realize the snacks he hoarded aren’t enough to sustain us.
He growls as I try to get out of the bed, pulling me back on top of him. “Where are you going?”
“To get some real food.” I place my hands on either side of his face. “You wouldn’t like me when I’m hangry,” I say in a low, deep voice.
“I like every version of you.” He pinches my nipple. “But I especially love the version that moans my name.”
My body responds to his touch, but I need a break. I also need a shower. “Rome and Javi are probably wondering if you’re ever going to let me go.”
“They should know the answer is no.”
I roll my eyes. “Don’t be selfish. I want to see them.”
He sighs. “Fine, but only because they’re my pack.” He pats my ass. “You have ten seconds before I change my mind.”
Scrambling off of him, I snatch my clothes from the floor and jump away from the bed. I yank on a shirt. His deep laugh rumbles over my skin, and I turn, admiring the ink scrawling across his skin.
“Did those hurt?”
“The tattoos?”
I nod and pull on my shorts.
“Not really. It’s weird...but every time I get one, it makes me feel better.”
“And what makes you feel bad?” I ask, running my hands through my hair as he tugs on his pants.
“A lot of things. Not being inside you, for one.”
I scoff. “Don’t try to distract me.”
“I thought you said you were hungry.”
“I am, but now I’m wondering why you don’t want to answer my question.”
“I will,” he says, grabbing my hand and pulling me toward the door. “But I’m happy now, and I don’t want to change that.”
My heart warms, and I let it drop for now. Eventually, I want to know everything there is to know about these alphas.
We find Javi preparing dinner in the kitchen. He spots me and sets down the knife, coming over to me and sweeping me into his arms for a demanding kiss. I melt into his hold, and by the time we break apart, my heart is fluttering.
“I thought he might hoard you for himself.” Javi moves back to the cutting board.
“He has to learn how to share,” I say.
“Heis right here.”
