“Wait a minute. You own all of these?”

Nodding even though she can’t see, I say, “Yes. 20 hectares.”

“Why are you sharing this with me?”

“Because you’re mine. And this is ours now. It’s our secret spot.”

“You make it sound like this is where we go for our clandestine meetings,” she chuckles.

“Then let’s pretend we do.”

Her response gets lodged in her throat when I take her face in my hands and kiss her, plunging my tongue in and out of her warm mouth. She whimpers when I pull back but it only takes me seconds to take off my coat and lay it on the grass.

Claiming her mouth again, I carry her and lay her down on my coat. The sight of her lying there, her hair framing her face, panting and waiting, is more than enough to push me over the edge. It makes me feral.

Bunching her dress around her waist and unbuckling my belt as fast as I can, it doesn’t take me long before I’m spreading her legs, running my rough hands along her smooth inner thighs, and pressing my hard shaft flush to her.

“Fuck, baby girl. You feel so tight and so good.”

I’m pounding into her, and she rakes her nails down my back, fires lighting up along every nerve ending. I fondle and squeeze her supple mounds almost greedily, like I can’t get enough of her. Because I can’t.

I grab one leg and drape her calf over my shoulder, letting me slide in deeper. Our moans, whimpers, and grunts sound too loud. But neither of us gives a damn. I want to see her as pleasure wracks her in waves.

“Who’s there?!”

My thrusting slams to a halt and Emily slaps a hand over her mouth, blinking rapidly in disbelief. I don’t move from my spot, my cock still buried deep inside her, but I cover her with my body as much as I can.

When a beam of light cuts through the darkness, I stiffen but make sure he can only see my back. I hear him approach us cautiously, but I don’t give him a chance to come nearer. I bellow, “It’s fine, Bennett. It’s me.”

“Mr. Erickson?”

I turn sideways so he can see my face, even just partially. But he doesn’t need more proof. “I-I’m sorry, sir. I had no idea it was you. I saw two shadows on the CCTV camera and figured maybe it was them kids trying to trespass. Again, so sorry, sir. I’ll leave now.”

He shuffles across the grass and disappears, plunging us back into darkness.

Emily doesn’t say anything, so I grip her thighs and ram my hips forward. “Now. Where were we, baby girl?”

EMILY

“Mel, just calm down, okay? Speak slowly. I can’t understand a word you’re saying.”

It’s a busy afternoon at the cafe. All seats are occupied plus a couple of pending deliveries. It’s all hands on deck, and even though I’m already a manager, I’m stepping in and helping serve some of the customers.

My phone has been ringing for five minutes. I tried to ignore it at first, but I thought maybe there was an emergency. I answer it while double-checking if the orders are complete. At first, all I hear is babbling.

Melissa’s panicking. It’s not that unusual for her, so I breathe a sigh of relief. She once called me because her favorite book was missing only for her to find it under her pillow an hour later.

“Em, this is important. You have to come get me.”

“Get you? Where? Aren’t you supposed to be in school?”

“Em, please,” she sobs. Her trembling voice breaks through the tears, words coming out in unintelligible, fragmented bursts. “You need to come here right now.”

“Where?”

“The Pines.”
