“I do, too.”

“Are you ready?” Finn asks.
“Almost!” I call back. I tug on the zipper one more time, and finally get it to close. “Okay,” I say, dragging my suitcase from my bedroom to the foyer, where Finn’s waiting for me. “Let’s go.”
He puts my suitcase in the trunk of his car and rolls down the windows as he pulls onto the street. I close my eyes, enjoying the cool air against my face.
“I’m so glad we’re getting away for the weekend,” I say, eyes still closed.
“Me, too,” Finn says. “Remember, no work until Monday morning.”
“You drive a hard bargain,” I tease, opening my eyes.
He looks over at me and grins. “You know it,” Finn says, taking my hand in his.
I smile back, and lean my head against the seat. “How long is the drive?”
“We’ll be at the cabin in a few hours,” he says.
“How rustic are we talking, anyway?” I ask. “All you’ve told me about this place is that it’s in the middle of nowhere. Is there electricity? Running water?”
“Yes and yes,” he says. “You’ll love it, I promise.”
I open my mouth to talk, and instead yawn. Finn smiles. “Am I boring you already?” he asks.
“No, sorry. I’m just more tired than I thought.”
“Take a nap,” he suggests. “I’ll wake you when we get there.”
“Thanks,” I murmur, already sliding into sleep.
I don’t wake up until the car stops moving. When I open my eyes, we’re on a gravel driveway, in front of a beautiful wood-shingled cabin.
“This is it?” I ask happily, getting out of the car and stretching.
“I knew you’d like it,” Finn says. “I had the property manager set things up earlier, so the door should be unlocked. Go on ahead, I’ll get the bags.”
The first floor of the cabin mainly consists of one huge, double-height room that’s dominated by a large leather sectional couch and a fireplace so big, I could fit in it both standing and lying down. There’s a fire crackling, filling the room with the delicious scent of fresh wood smoke.
I peek into a gleaming powder room, all white tile and fluffy towels folded on the sink, and then go into the small, well-organized kitchen. “I love this!” I tell Finn, who’s come inside, too.
“Wait till you see the upstairs,” he says.
I hurry up the spiral staircase, which opens into a large, loft-style bedroom. There’s a massive bed in the middle of the room, made up with flannel sheets and a fluffy blue comforter. I walk over to the low wall that runs along one side of the room, and see that it overlooks the main room. “This is wonderful,” I say.
“You haven’t seen the best part yet,” Finn grins from the other side of the room.
I walk over, and enter the most luxurious bathroom I’ve ever seen. There’s a standing shower and a jacuzzi tub, double sinks and floating shelves and lit candles placed at various points around the room, filling it with a welcoming glow.
“I think this bathroom is bigger than my first apartment,” I exclaim.
Finn comes up behind me and wraps his arms around me. “You think you’ll be happy here for the weekend?”
“Oh, yeah,” I say, turning around to embrace him. “Thank you for bringing me here.”
