I melt in his arms, unable to resist the overwhelming desire for him.

Piero wraps an arm around my waist and used the other to press my hand against the steel pole of his huge cock. My eyes widen as I realize how aroused he is, and I ache for him in response. He pulls away to whisper in my ear, “Do you feel what you do to me, Gwendolyne?”

I’m speechless. All I can do is nod slightly, making him groan and kiss me harder.

“Fuck, I need to be inside you right now,” he says gruffly, pulling back before I can respond.

My entire body burns at the thought. “Not yet, Piero, please wait,” I beg him, trying to catch my breath.

He chuckles again. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I know better than to fuck you before marriage. Your father would murder me.”

We both stand silent for a moment and I csn’t shake the disappointment that he didn’t insist we take things further.

What the hell is my problem?

He kisses me one last time and then glances around the patio. “We didn’t get far on our walk, did we?”

I shake my head, apprehension gripping me. “It’s getting late. We should call it a night.”

He nods reluctantly. “Your father will be suspicious if he gets reports from your bodyguard that you are staying here too late. I still don’t understand he wouldn’t let you stay here where we can get to know each other more easily” His smirk is telling and my resolve weakens in silent agreement.

“It’s his rules,” I reply, the words uneasy on my tongue.

He grins, moving closer until there’s no space between us. “Yes. You definitely don’t like breaking them, do you?” He leaves a trail of kisses on my neck before raising his gaze to mine, stealing away any remaining breath from my lungs. “Enjoy making your pussy come while you think of me,” he breathes against my lips before pulling back and striding away without another word.

Shaken, I barely notice Anton, my bodyguard, stepping forward to lead me out of the grounds. His heavy footsteps thudding on the path fill the silence until we get to the car.

“Let’s get you back to the hotel, miss,” he says.

I take a seat in the town car and cross my legs as heat curls through my belly and shameful wetness soaks my inner legs. Our first time alone and it’s clear my attraction to Piero is overwhelming. It feels as though if we don’t marry soon, I’ll get so desperate that I’ll beg him to fuck me, married or not.

My cell buzzes, its vibrations resonating against my ribcage as I turn the corner toward Piero’s engagement party.

I pull it out to answer the call.

“What?” I hiss.

“Sorry to bother you, sir, but I wanted to check if you’ll be attending tonight’s monthly meeting?” Smyth’s voice crackles through the receiver.

I squeeze my eyes shut and pinch the bridge of my nose. Damn! I had completely forgotten about the meeting. “No... I can’t make it tonight. Sorry, Smyth.”

He sighs on the other end. “Alright, I’ll take notes for you and tell you what happened tomorrow.”

“Do that,” I say abruptly before ending the call, not wanting him to explain why I won’t be there.

Stuffing my phone back into an inner pocket of my jacket, I pull out an invitation a contact got a hold of for me.

I approach the entrance of the building. A line of people form a queue waiting for security clearance and I join the back, tapping my foot impatiently against the ground.

Smyth would flip if he knew what I was planning to do here tonight.

He’s always been one for caution, but after all these years of planning and waiting, I intend to take my time over this and make sure I get it right.

The guard stares at me with a bored expression as he holds out his hand, expecting an invitation in return.
