"I could authorize a synthetic claiming mark for you. Facilitate your escape, far away from Solstice Bay."
"No," I say, shaking my head emphatically. "Not yet...I'm not..."
"What?" he asks. "Looking for your Prince Charming?"
I lift my chin and swallow hard. "Maybe I am."
Rafe reaches out and touches me as if that isn't crossing a huge barrier. I'm an unclaimed omega; he's a virile, unmated alpha. His hand wraps around my wrist, and there's the dark side of him again, the devil incarnate.
"I don't think you know what's good for you, kitten," he growls, copper eyes sparking. "But I'll give you some time to think about it."
He releases me and stalks away, and I'm once again ignoring how my body reacts to him. Or...maybe I can't ignore it.
Because the spot where he touched me burns like a brand.
Because my pussy is throbbing, my panties wet.
And because I don't know if I'm looking for a prince charming, or a pirate king.

IneedJadeWinslowif I'm going to do this--if I'm going to get access to the ACB Information Network, only available from Matthias Winslow's personal computer--but she's totally resistant to my charms.
If it was any other woman I needed to coerce, she would have been riding my cock and doing whatever I wanted ages ago. But this isJade--ACB princess, prized omega, a girl raised to think she was a goddamn treasure.
She's harder to convince.
But I know I'll do it in the end.
At first, I thought withholding the synthetic mark would do the trick; offer it up to her as a little prize, along with a lifetime supply of suppressants. She could go out and live her life like an ordinary person, not the omega prey she's been treated as since the day she was born.
There's just one problem.
Getting the mark would make it harder for Jade to find her pack, if she ever wanted one...and she wants one.
Which makes my job that much harder.
Fallon and Hawk are already waiting for me in my office when I stalk through the door and shut it behind me. Fallon is a tall, lean beta with dirty blond hair and a pierced lip and eyebrow, his hands shoved in the pockets of his black leather jacket and his green eyes tracing me across the floor to my desk. Hawk sits in a chair by my desk, elbows on his knees, his hands clasped. He's a huge alpha with heavy layers of muscle and a thick neck, his head shaved and a thick brown beard on his chin. His arms are covered in tattoos, his eyes black as night.
Fallon has been spearheading this whole effort, an ex-intelligence operative from another city on the west coast, and he sighs when he sees that I don't have Jade with me.
"No dice?" he asks.
"None," I tell him. "Girl's stubborn, I'll give her that."
"We need her to get us into the Winslow house," he murmurs. "I've thought about the other options, but she's our best bet with the DNA ID they've got on the door of the safe. I can circumvent everything else, but..."
"I know," I growl. "But I can't force her."
"That's not what we do," Hawk says, his voice quiet. "I respect that."
"It's sweet that the whole point is that she has a choice," Fallon says, "but this would be a hell of a lot easier if she was really on our side."
"What are you suggesting?" I ask, my whole body tensing up.
"Take away her suppressants," Fallon says. "Push her into a heat...then..."
