I squeeze his hand, trying to steady myself. "I know. But killing him won't make anything better. We have to focus on taking down the ACB, on making sure that no one else has to go through what I did."

Rafe looks like he wants to argue, but then he takes a deep breath and nods. "You're right. We'll do this the right way."

Hawk leans back, studying me. "Are you sure you're up for this? It's going to be dangerous."

I meet his gaze, feeling a sense of purpose building inside me. "I'm sure. I'll do whatever it takes to bring them down."

The group falls into a tense silence, each lost in their own thoughts. I can feel my heart pounding, the rush of adrenaline coursing

through my veins. It's scary, but exhilarating. This is what I've been waiting for--a chance to make a real difference in the world, to fight back against the forces that have oppressed us for so long.

Finally, Rafe speaks up. "Okay. We'll start planning tomorrow. We need to make sure we have everything we need--the right tools, the right disguises, the right escape routes."

"And we need to make sure we're all on the same page," Fallon adds. "No one gets left behind, no one gets caught."

Hawk nods. "Agreed."

I take a deep breath, feeling a sense of camaraderie--maybe even love--building between us. We're in this together, a motley crew of rebels fighting against the odds. It's dangerous, but it's worth it.

"We'll do it," I say firmly, looking around the room at my newfound family. "We'll take them down."

Ican'tstopthinkingabout watching Fallon fuck Jade...and it turns me the fuck on. For the rest of the day, I can't wait to get back into bed, planning to meet them in my room at the center of the Raft, behind my office.

Jade is waiting outside my door with a backpack full of stuff, ready to move her few belongings out of the barracks and toward somewhere that we can all be together. Fallon stands next to her, his arm around her, and they chat softly before they both look up at me.

On some level, it registers that I should be polite...that these two are my friends, that I care about both of them and that Jade is mymate.

But that's the thing.

She's my mate.

Fallon is the beta of our pack.

And the alpha in me tells me it's my job to tell them what to do.

I unlock the door and open it, my voice low when I speak. "Get inside."

"Hello to you to," Fallon mutters.

"Inside," I hiss.

They exchange a glance before they file past me into the room, and I step in and shut the door behind them. My office is a big space, filled with shipping containers, and I take them back to the one where I keep my bunk . Fallon keeps an arm around Jade's shoulders, like he needs to keep her safe.

It turns me on even more...how protective he is.

Inside this shipping container is my bunk--a mattress big enough for three, nice and plush, shoved into the back and covered with blankets. I flip a switch and the lamp in the corner flickers to life, wooden shelves built into the walls and holding various odds and ends I've picked up off looted ships over the years. It feels like I'm taking my pack to my den, awakening something primal.

Fallon has been down here before, and we've shared women in this exact room in the past--but right now, he seems tense. He turns toward me as Jade drops her stuff, one eyebrow cocked.

"Dude, you're being fucking weird," he says. "What the hell is going on? You changed your mind about us again?"

I shake my head. "Not at all," he says.

"Then what's this about?" Jade asks quietly.
