Jade's eyes widen as she realizes the implications. "It could be the data we were looking for," she says, excitement building in her voice. "The reason we went there in the first place."
I nod, feeling a thrill of anticipation. "We have to get this to Rafe and Hawk," I say. "They were just telling Carson our mission wasn't successful...but this might prove them wrong."
Jade nods, determination etched on her face. "Let's do it," she says, pushing herself off the bed and standing up. "I'm ready."
I put my hand on her shoulder. "You've been pretty out of it. Are you sure about this?"
She nods, resolute. "Absolutely."
I can't help but feel a surge of admiration for her. She's been through so much, but she's still willing to fight.
I guess that's why I love her.
We make our way through the halls of the Raft, my hand on the small of Jade's back to steady her. She's still a bit wobbly on her feet, but she refuses to let that slow her down.
We find Rafe and Hawk in Rafe's office, locked in a serious conversation with Carson. Rafe looks up as we enter, and his eyes widen when he sees Jade.
"Shit, you shouldn't be up," he mutters, striding toward us and giving me a chastising glance. "What the hell, Fallon?"
I shrug as he comes to support her on her other side. "You know I'm not going to stop her," I say.
Hawk laughs and shakes his head. "She really can't be stopped, can she?"
"Good to see you're up and about," Carson says. "How are you feeling?"
"Better," she says, her voice strong and steady. "But that's not why I'm here. Look what we found."
She holds out the locket, and Rafe takes it from her, examining the drive inside.
"I'll be damned," he says, a grin spreading across his face. "Mama Winslow left a little surprise in here, huh?"
"What is it?" Carson asks, coming over with a quizzical look.
"Tiny little thumb drive," he says. "Let's get this plugged in and see what we've got."
Rafe takes the drive over to his computer and plugs it in. We all gather around him as he opens the files on the screen.
"What the hell..." he mutters, scrolling through the documents. "This is...this is huge."
"What do you mean?" I ask, trying to peer over his shoulder.
"It's all the stuff we went in for and then some," he says. "Fallon, take a look at this."
I come over with Jade on my arm, and I peer at the screen.
"This is data on the ACB's testing," I say. "Their experiments on the people they've captured. And it's not just the basic stuff we already know about. This is...this is detailed. This could be the key to taking them down."
There's a moment of stunned silence before Fallon punches the air.
"Yes!" he shouts. "Finally, we have something that can really hurt them. They won't know what hit them."
Jade is beaming, her eyes shining with pride and relief. "I can't believe she did this for us. She really came through."
"And wait until you see this," I say, my eyes lighting on some data I didn't notice before. "I think you'll be interested."
She stares at the screen, trying to make sense of the flood of files...then her eyes widen.
"This is Kendra's location," she whispers. "We're finally going to find her."
