“Do you want to sit down?” I ask.

“Please. I’m so tired.”

I take her hand and lead her to the couch, tugging her onto my lap as I sit down. Megan doesn’t fight me, curling up on my lap with her head on my shoulder as I hold her. We sit like that for a while without saying anything. Silence hangs around us, but it isn’t awkward. It just feels right.

“I’m going to keep the baby.”

The words take a while to sink in, only a moment after I realize that Megan’s spoken. I look down at her.

“You’re going to…?”

“It wasn’t what I was expecting, but I’m going to keep it.” She looks up at me, her eyes red from exhaustion. “If you don’t want anything to do with me because of it, I won’t hold it against you, but—"

I silence her with a kiss, cradling her carefully for fear of hurting her. Megan stiffens, but then quickly relaxes into my arms, her hand coming up to cup the back of my neck. I finish with a gentle kiss to her forehead being extra careful around her wound.

“I’ll do whatever you want,” I rasp. “And I don’t plan on going anywhere, either. I want to be there for both you and the baby. I know this isn’t something we discussed, but we can make it work.”

“Really?”

Megan still looks uncertain. I can’t help but smile. “You thought that I wouldn’t be with you if you ended up pregnant? Megan, you know I’m not that kind of guy.”

“I know, but it was in the back of my mind.” Megan sighs and leans her head on my shoulder again. “I’m sorry. This just came out of nowhere. Everything was in a mess when I saw the shape on the screen.”

“I noticed. You were pretty much silent on the way back.” I stroke her hair. “I thought you were going to start pulling away from me.”

“No. I’m not going to do that.” Megan pauses. “So, you’re not going to leave me? I’m not going to deal with this on my own?”

“Absolutely not,” I tighten my arm around her. “You’re stuck with me.”

I feel her smile against my shirt, and she kisses my chest. “Normally, I don’t appreciate the possessive caveman talk. But that works for me.”

“I can do more of that if you want.”

“No, thanks. Once now and then is enough.”

We sit like this for a while longer, Megan’s body soft against mine as she snuggles into me. I can feel my cock hardening as her backside with each movement. Even after what happened yesterday, just having her in my arms is arousing. Her smell drives me crazy whenever I’m close to her.

“Are you always this frisky?” Megan asks, casting a knowing look up at me.

I swallow. “What can I say? You’re just addictive.”

“Well, I’m still very sore.” She reaches up and kisses me softly. “But if you can figure out how to get around it, we can go back to my bed.”

I groan at her words. “What about Clark?”

“He’s definitely not joining in,” she chuckles lightly.

“Megan…”

“As long as we’re not in here where he can see us, it’s nothing to do with him.” Megan sits up and shifts so she’s straddling me, running her hands up his chest. “I feel like I need more than a cuddle right now.”

“How about a naked cuddle?” I suggest, palming her backside and inching her forward.

Megan giggles. “As long as we do more than cuddle.”

She’s just about to kiss me when I hear my phone going off. Groaning, I quickly kiss her and ease her off my lap. Megan mewls in protest.

“Hey!”
