“….simply stating fact.” I missed the first part as I was too concerned with the cops’ lack of interference.
“Stay. The fuck. Away.”
“But Cougar, it’s such a small town.” she smiles, and it doesn’t reach her eyes. “Bye, Aletta. Take care of that baby.”
“What the actual fuck?” I whisper as she walks away. John turns back to me and gives me a meek smile.
“Are you okay?”
I nod, “How did you know I was here?” I ask John as he slides into Bonnie’s vacated seat.
“Knuckles got a text from Whitley. It basically said there was a stinky cunt in your space.” I hear the officer, who is still seated behind me, cough and start to choke on the muffin he is eating. “Yeah, I guess Whitley came home early. He was going to stop in here, but saw her with you and called Knuckles.”
The guy outside. I dismiss his explanation as the coughing fit behind me hasn’t stopped. “Should we help him and see if he’s okay?” It looks like no one else in the shop is rushing to his aid. While I know who he associated with, I don’t want to do nothing and have him die.
“Nah. If he dies, it’s one less cop in this town that we have to deal with. Given how fucked up all of them are, it wouldn’t be a hardship. Let’s get you home so you can rest.” He eyes the forgotten iced latte on the table. “You don’t need to bring that. I’ll make you some tea at home.” He hurries me away from the choking officer, who thankfully seemed to have gotten his shit together, and I can’t help but roll my eyes at the tea comment. I am not about to tell him how much caffeine is in the tea we have at home. I am getting my pick-me-up one way or another.

We’re sitting in church listening to Cougar recount AJ’s interaction with Bonnie. He apparently came in at the tail end of it all and still felt her wrath. Unsurprising, as Bonnie is a fucking cunt. The town has only proven how dumb they all are as they constantly fall for her shit.
“She was such a bitch.” Ain’t that the fucking truth? I think as Cougar speaks. I can hear the venom in his voice. He isn’t attempting to hide his disdain for the woman.
She goes out of her way to insert herself into everyone’s lives. It’s almost as if she’s trying to be everyone’s friend. She claims she cares, that she’s there to help, to be a shoulder to cry on, and they all suck it all up. They let her in, not realizing what they’d done.
She’s dramatic and annoying, and I am so fucking glad I don’t have to deal with her unless I see her in public.
“What the hell happened?” Cowboy asks. As if he really cares. The piece of shit is exactly that—a piece of shit. The day he came back, he ruined everything. Gaining his patch back was the last fucking thing this club needed, but no. Have to let Daddy’s little boy gain his spot back.
He’s fucking useless.
I growl, thinking about it. No one bats an eye at my reaction. They most likely think it’s in response to what Cougar is saying about Aletta.
“She kept going on and on about how AJ is a liar. That my son would be better off in the hands of someone experienced. AJ was dooming the baby to a shit life because of who he is related to. But what got to AJ the most was that Bonnie knew her whole name and that our baby is a boy. Y’all and the doctor are the only ones who know the baby is a boy.”
This catches my attention, and I file it away for later when I get my phone back.
Cougar goes on, and on about how rattled Aletta is, and for a brief moment, I feel bad. Bonnie shouldn’t have gone up to her. She has no reason to be this big of a bitch to people. The feeling is over as quickly as it came. I have too much to lose if I’m found. Too much money is on the line, and I won’t lose it because some girl is crying about another girl being mean to her.
Fucking shit.
“What the fuck is that woman’s problem?” Gears asks the group. I look around, and everyone has a puzzled expression on their face. No one knows what Bonnie’s deal is. She seemed to have lost her ability to hide her inner bitch when her husband was locked up for being a child molester.
I may have done some shady shit, but I haven’t done that. I have some morals. Well, at least that one.
Until….
No. I can’t. Not right now.
“Come on, Prez. Can I feed her to the piggies? She’s being awful toward everyone, and now she’s come after my baby.” Butcher pleads. I look at him, and even though he’s begging, he’s smiling. The man is fucking psychotic. Any chance he gets, he feeds human remains to his pigs. It’s fucking disgusting. Efficient but disgusting.
It made sense when the pigs first started eating the men the club would take out. But now, I swear, Butcher kills people for the fuck of it so he can feed them. His idea of what’s okay and what isn’t is so skewed. You kidnap children and sell them to the highest bidder. No. I take them and pass them along. It’s not my problem what happens after the fact.
“No. We can’t simply take a member of the community out because she’s a total cunt.” Storm cuts in.
“The fuck we can’t. She’s threatening my daughter!” Butcher yells, standing up from his chair.
