“Then you need to stop letting her push you away,” Jax said simply.

“You think it’s just that simple?” Razor snapped, his temper fraying. “It’s been months dealing with this bullshit. You know, last night she had the audacity to tell me that I didn’t want a woman like her. That I want some kind of Sally Homemaker or some shit, someone I could be the strong man around the house for. It’s like she doesn’t even know who I am,” he said in disgust.

“You’d be bored within a couple of hours,” Jax agreed.

“Women think they know best, but they don’t know shit about men half the time,” Rogue remarked.

“I’m telling Scarlett you said that,” a feminine voice said from the doorway gleefully, making Rogue sigh.

Razor straightened from beneath the hood and smirked when he saw Wren and Win, the twin girls Rogue was now raising, standing there looking smug. “What are you two doing home?” Rogue asked, ignoring their threat. “Thought you had school for another couple of hours.”

“Half day today,” Win answered. “Scarlett came and got us.”

Rogue narrowed his eyes, like he wasn’t sure if he believed them. “Where is she?” he finally asked.

“Why? Worried we skipped school? Or is it because you don’t want her to know what you said?” Wren asked sweetly. The girls were identical, with honey brown eyes, strawberry blonde hair, and cute cherub looking faces. They were quickly approaching their sixteenth birthday, and even though they and Scarlett had only been around a little less than a month, they fit right in. And drove Rogue crazy with the shit they got themselves into.

“Oh, don’t worry, girls, I heard him,” another feminine voice said, this time coming from the office area. They all turned their heads to see Scarlett striding out, looking damn fine as she did. She was wearing a pencil skirt that showed off her curvy hips and long legs, ending in low heels, and a simple white blouse on top with pearl buttons. Her cinnamon colored hair was up in a bun on the top of her head. All she needed was the glasses and she would be every teenage boy’s sexy librarian fantasy come to life. “And he’ll pay for it later,” she added with a cool look at Rogue.

Rogue held her stare, and the air between them practically crackled with sexual tension. Razor rolled his eyes. Normally he would have a smart remark about it, but today, he wasn’t in the mood. Instead, he said, “You can cut off sexy time when we’re not around,” he told them drily. “Right now, I have this car to finish. You can read him the riot act elsewhere.”

Scarlett turned and gave him a cool look. “Someone’s cranky today,” she remarked. “You and Karissa have a spat?” she asked him, feigning concern. “Need to talk about it?”

Razor didn’t bother answering, looking away and going back under the hood to continue his work. They could all leave him the hell alone.

“You know, if you want help convincing Karissa to give you a chance, we could help,” one of the twins offered. He was pretty sure it was Win. She had a slightly higher pitch to her voice, he’d figured out in the past few weeks. It was very subtle, and you had to listen for it, but it was there. Especially since half the time he couldn’t tell them apart because they purposely dressed alike to confuse the kids and teachers at school.

Rogue snorted. “Sure, if you want to send her running for the hills,” he drawled.

“If she’s into kinky shit like these two, I’d say just handcuff her to your bed,” Wren suggested. Then she snickered and added, “Just make sure you’re careful, because she can do some serious damage.”

Didn’t he know it.

“Speaking of which,” Win said suddenly, making him pause. Where the hell was she going with this? “You two really need to put away your shit when you’re done. I went into the ensuite bathroom and I saw those cuffs and a bottle of lube. Just about made me hurl.”

“And if you stayed the hell out of our room like I told you to, you wouldn't see shit,” Rogue returned calmly, not the least bit embarrassed.

Razor lifted his head enough to see Scarlett’s eyes closed and her face red with embarrassment, while Rogue acted like it was completely normal. Though, for all he knew, it might be. Rogue and Scarlett weren’t shy about their sex lives, and since the girls had been child sex slaves for human traffickers for a couple of years before Scarlett rescued them, it wasn’t like they didn’t know what sex was.

“We’ll be more careful,” Scarlett finally promised, making Rogue scowl at her. She gave him a cool stare back, one that told him she wouldn’t be changing her mind. Razor snickered. Damn, his brother was whipped, and it was hilarious to watch. Rogue glared at him, but he ignored him. Scarlett looked at Razor and said, “So back to Karissa.”

“Scarlett,” Razor said patiently, “I know that everyone wants to help, but Karissa and I can figure out our shit on our own. The woman is damn stubborn, and it’s going to take some dynamite to get past those walls of hers, but the more people try and help, the higher and stronger those walls are going to be.”

“See, now he’s got a bit of a brain where women are concerned,” Wren said happily. “There might be hope for the male species yet.”

Razor winked at her, while Jax snickered. “Girls, head on up and get started on your homework,” Scarlett ordered.

“She’s just trying to make us leave so she and Rogue can get busy in his office,” Win whispered loudly.

“As long as they’re not doing it in the apartment, I’m good with that,” Wren replied. Rogue, Scarlett, and the girls lived in town at Scarlett’s place, but when they were on the grounds, they used the apartment above the garage. And since it was Friday night, it made sense that they would stay here tonight. Friday was party night for the club, which meant they were going to have to work at making sure the girls didn’t sneak in.

They tried it once, but unfortunately for them Savage had caught them and made them leave. Rogue had grounded them for the rest of the weekend, but the girls had already gotten a bit of an eyeful, and took great pleasure in reminding people since.

Once the girls were gone, Razor couldn’t help but laugh because Rogue hauled Scarlett over his shoulder and headed for the office. Scarlett laughed, uncaring that Rogue was getting her clothes covered in grease and oil.

Once they were gone with the door shut behind them, Jax said, “They’ll be a bit, so how about you tell me what the hell is going on.”

Razor sighed. He and Jax had become good friends since he joined the club, and the other man was as much of a jokester as he was. Maybe more. At six feet, he had messy brown hair, bright green eyes, and was covered in ink. He never wanted for female company, especially with the club whores. Probably because he liked to fuck more than one at a time.
