Karissa shook her head. “Sena has always been resourceful. She aligns herself with the dark underbelly of the world, and she’s happy there. She’s afraid of nothing, and the gangs and whoever else she can find are more than happy to help her out. She always seems to find people that can find me and she just keeps following.”

“She’s enjoying this game of hers,” Rogue said darkly. “But after almost ten years she’s probably getting tired of it, and that makes her even more dangerous.”

“So if we figure out who she knows here and who is helping her, maybe we can find her faster,” Ink suggested. “We don’t have a lot of options for her to pick from since we keep this town pretty damn clean.”

“We’re close enough to the border that she doesn’t need to have someone in our town,” Steel pointed out. “Could be she has connections helping her pull strings here to stay close.”

“Either way, we need to find her fast,” Savage said grimly. “Code, see what chatter you can find, or if you can get her on any cameras around town. Everyone else, keep your eyes open, and no one goes anywhere alone. Especially the women.” He held up his hand before Karissa could say anything. “Yes, I know you’re a woman, and yes I know you protest, but seeing as you’re the target, it only stands to reason that while we’re hunting this bitch, you’re not alone.”

“No one should underestimate her,” Karissa warned. She glanced at Razor and added, “Especially anyone she might think I’m close to. She’ll target you because she wants to see me hurt.”

“She’s welcome to try,” Razor said with a cool smile. “Many have tried to take me out, but none have succeeded.”

“There’s still time,” Jax joked. “I mean, I still owe you for that prank you pulled on me the other day.”

A few brothers chuckled, including him. He had always known about Jax’s avoidance of spiders, and had put a bunch of fake ones all over his station. When he came in, he hadn’t noticed right away; when he did, he had screamed like a girl. Instead of getting super pissed, Jax had rolled his eyes and made the Prospects clean them up before he got back to work. He’d yet to live down that scream.

“I think if anyone’s going to kill him, it’s going to be Karissa,” Fury grinned wickedly. “Should we come up with a signal if you need help?”

Razor took their teasing in stride. He knew they were busting his balls, but he didn’t care. He had no problem having a woman that could kick his ass. He was secure in himself, and when he glanced over at Karissa, she was glaring at Fury. Not that Fury cared; he just grinned at her.

Savage banged his gavel and announced, “Alright, we’re adjourned; in the meantime, everyone get to work on finding Sena Farrell. Fury, Steel, Rogue, you make sure the women know what’s going on; that they’re to stick close to the compound and never be out alone.” He gave Rogue a pointed look. “And alone does not mean the twins accompanying each other. They need a brother or Prospect with both of them.” Rogue nodded. Razor knew that the girls would put up a fight, and while normally he would enjoy something like that, he had other more important things to attend to.

Namely one stubborn woman that was driving him insane. Apparently he hadn’t been clear enough before, so it was time to up the ante.

She was his, and she was going to see it, or he would tie her to the bed and leave her there.

CHAPTERFIFTEEN

KARISSA

She walked out of Church feeling a mixture of emotions that she didn’t know how to untangle. Her entire body was humming with exhaustion and adrenaline, and she knew she was going to crash hard. She just had to figure out how to avoid Razor, because she needed some time alone to sort herself out.

Of course, fate was a cruel bitch who wasn’t about to let that happen.

As soon as she was clear of the door, Razor was scooping her up and carrying her toward the stairs, his face set in determination. Shit, she thought, but she didn’t struggle. She wanted to conserve her strength for whatever was about to come at her.

“I don’t think so, Razor,” Esme barked, stalking across the room, her eyes narrowed dangerously. “I have a few things to say to my friend before you haul her off to your cave.”

“You’re going to have to wait,” Razor told her firmly, continuing on his way.

Karissa glared up at him. “Put me down, Razor,” she ordered. “I want to talk to Esme.”

“Well that’s too bad, because you’re not going to be talking tonight. You can do all the talking you want tomorrow,” Razor replied as he reached the stairs. He looked over his shoulder, holding her tighter when she struggled, and called loudly, “Fury!”

“Got it, brother,” Fury called back. “Mi tesoro, leave it be for tonight.”

Karissa didn’t hear her answer, because Razor was taking the steps two at a time and heading down the hall to his room. She stilled her struggles, silently fuming. She was getting very tired of all this manhandling, especially from Razor; she didn’t care if they were sleeping together or not, she was going to kick his ass.

When he entered his room, he kicked the door closed behind him with a loud bang, but he didn’t stop walking until they were in the bathroom, where he also kicked that door closed. When he set her down on top of the vanity, he caged her in with his arms on either side of her, his body between her legs. Their position an echo from the other night, but this time, his eyes were blazing with so many emotions it made her heart pound.

“Back. Up,” she said succinctly, holding his gaze.

“You’ve given enough orders today,” he told her darkly. “Now it’s time for you to listen. I’m going to say this one more time, and then we’re going to shower and go to bed, because I’m fucking exhausted. If you try to run this conversation, I’ll gag that pretty mouth. And if you still insist on talking, I’ll fill it with something else. Do you understand?”

Her blood heated at his threat. She secretly loved when he talked like this. Like he was going to take charge. Not that she let him, but it turned her on anyway.

“I’m tired of you constantly manhandling me today and acting like you have any say over me and what I do,” she returned icily. “Maybe it’s you that needs to be gagged, Razor. I’m sure I can put your mouth to good use, too.”
