Simba gave him a cool stare, and Razor felt a shiver of unease work its way down his spine. That was the look of a man who never worried about being caught because if anyone did, they wouldn’t live to tell the tale. “No,” was his only reply.
Savage nodded, clearly seeing the look for what it was. “Alright then, since we’re connected by Razor’s woman, I think it’s safe to say that we can work on being allies, and you can call on us if you ever need our help.”
“Appreciate it,” Simba said with a nod. Though Razor knew full well that there was little chance they would ever call on them, but the offer was out there.
“Then we’ll end Church now. Simba, you get your girl in touch with Code, and we’ll all leave here later this morning.” Savage stood and so did everyone else. Razor followed everyone out, and he let out a soft breath when he realized that Karissa wasn’t standing there waiting to gut him.
A hand clapped him on the shoulder and he looked to see Taz grinning wickedly at him. “I’d still watch my balls if I were you. Just because she’s not here, doesn’t mean she doesn’t know where we are,” he admonished quietly. “If we hear you scream, I’ll come running.” Then he winked and headed off with the rest of his brothers towards their beds.
Razor sighed and made his way up to his room. When he reached the door, he opened it soundlessly before quietly shutting and locking it behind him. He stripped down, tossing his clothes into the corner, and walked over to the bed. Karissa was still sleeping, facing his side of the bed, making him smile. He carefully eased back in, reaching out and pulling Karissa into him, and buried his face in her hair.
“Enjoy your little boys club meeting?” Karissa’s wide awake voice asked in the darkness, making him stiffen. Shit, he thought. Before he could pull back, he froze when she pressed her knee firmly against his balls, and her lips pressed to his ear. “If I wasn’t so tired, I’d make you sorry for cutting me out. Lucky for you, I’m in a forgiving mood after all those orgasms. Do it again, though, and we’ll be having another discussion. Understood?”
Razor sighed, lifting his head just enough that he could squint down at her in the darkness. He couldn’t see her, but he figured she was glaring at him. “We’re still an MC, Rissa, and there are still things we discuss that you can’t be a part of.”
She pressed a little harder and he groaned at the pressure. “So you’re going to tell me that my name, and my issue with Sena didn’t come up?” she asked sweetly. “Or that you weren’t discussing a plan to find her? Come on, boyo, lie to me some more.”
Fucking hell, he internally whined. “It may have come up,” he hedged. “But, our plan was to ride out and see if we can find her tomorrow. Which includes you,” he added quickly when she let out a low growl. “You’re coming. We just set up a time to meet.”
She didn’t say anything for a moment, then slowly pulled her leg away, allowing him to breathe out a soft sigh. “Good. Pull that shit again, and it won’t be pretty,” she warned him. Then she snuggled back up against him, put her head on his chest, and said tiredly, “Now go to sleep. You wore me out and I have a feeling I’m going to need all the sleep I can get.”
Razor gave a soft chuckle, burying his face back in her hair and holding her close. Yeah, she was crazy, but he was quickly realizing that was exactly why he wanted her. He just had to make sure he gave her a reason to stay. If he had to get his balls rammed a few times in the process, so be it. He’d make sure she kissed them better after.
CHAPTERTWENTY-THREE
KARISSA
Being on the back of Razor’s bike was a new experience. Not because she hadn’t ridden on a bike before, but because it was Razor. He kept her as close to him as her body would allow, constantly touching her hands wrapped around him and pressed tight to his stomach, or gripping her thigh. It was possessive, and she secretly loved it. Not that she would admit it. She already sent a glare over at a smirking Taz when he pulled up beside them as they broke off into pairs.
No surprise, she was with Razor, Jax, and Ink, though she did note that her former team all split off in one large group, making her frown. Were they purposely cutting her out? She tried to push it out of her mind, but it nagged at her. Still, it wasn’t something she could deal with now, so she focused on where Razor was leading them.
Eventually, he pulled off on a well concealed side road and parked. He helped her off, and she had to lock her legs to keep from falling. She wasn’t used to the sensation of the bike anymore. She looked around the quiet area full of trees and no obvious houses or traffic. She frowned. “Where are we?” she asked.
“We have to do a bit of walking,” Razor told her as he climbed off. “There are some old cabins out this way that not a lot of people know about. But it’s also where crackheads and gangs come if they want privacy. It could be a perfect place for Sena to hide out.”
Karissa had to agree. “Alright, lead the way.”
Razor nodded. “You have your gun?” he asked her, checking his own.
Karissa gave him a bland look. “You mean the one you finally convinced Savage to give back to me?” She lifted her shirt to show him that she did indeed have it at the ready.
Razor smirked at her. “You did point it at him,” he reminded her.
“And so have Royal and Esme, and I bet he didn’t bitch at them as much,” Karissa muttered.
“Probably because out of all of you, he knows you will actually shoot him,” Ink offered helpfully, grinning over at her.
He had a point, she thought and smirked at him.
“Alright, let’s go,” Razor said. “You see or hear anything funny, signal. We’re going to go in as quietly as we can, just in case she is here. We don’t want to scare her off before we can get to her.”
“Why do I feel like you’re directing that at me?” Jax joked softly.
“Because you never shut up,” Ink returned without any malice. Jax flipped him off but said nothing in return.
Karissa rolled her eyes, and followed Razor into the trees. They moved through the trees, and she purposely kept her distance from Razor so that any sound they made wouldn’t be as noticeable. He sent her a curious look, but she ignored him. This was not the time for him to get butt hurt that she wasn’t walking right beside him. Instead she focused on where she stepped and listened for any sounds up ahead.
When they reached the edge of the woods, they stopped and Karissa motioned to Razor that she was going to climb up into one of the large trees just inside the tree line. It had a good view of the cabins, and foliage thick enough to conceal her. Razor nodded, and waited at the bottom while she clambered up.
