“Then isn’t it a good thing I’m all yours?” he said as he reached out and pulled her into him, taking her mouth. She hummed her agreement against his lips as she kissed him back, something inside her settling. With everything that went on today, she didn’t realize how much she needed this. Needed to have a moment alone with Razor where it was just them.
No Sena. No team. No arguing. Just the two of them.
When Razor pulled away, he cupped her head with his hand to hold her in place and looked down at her, eyes searching. “It’s not your fault,” he said softly.
Karissa stiffened. “I know that,” she said tightly.
He gave her a dubious look, and only tightened his grip when she tried to pull away. “Babe, I know that we’re new at this whole relationship thing, but I know you well enough to know when you’re upset. Or feeling guilty.”
She pulled against his hand and he let her go, but he didn’t step back, continuing to watch her. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair in frustration. “I just want this over with,” she said finally, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
“I know, and so do I,” he assured her as he sat next to her, taking her hand in his. It was a sweet gesture, and it made her heart clench. “We will stop her, Rissa.”
“And if other people die in the meantime?”
“Then that’s not on you. She’s insane, and it falls on her shoulders. She’s the one choosing to kill them, not you. You are not telling her to do this.”
“But I taunted her,” she reminded him darkly. “I taunted her, tried to get her angry with me, and she did. Missing me only pissed her off more. Not to mention you and Savage getting in her way. Now she’s lashing out, and people always get hurt. Animals get hurt, and what am I doing? Hiding out here? I should be out there finding her. I shouldn’t be waiting for someone to go with me, I should go out and draw her out, get this over and done with.”
Razor was quiet for a moment. Finally he said, “And if she killed you?”
Karissa snorted. “She’s a terrible shot. She’s tried to kill me a few times now, and she always misses.”
“But that doesn’t mean she will next time,” he said tightly. “All it takes is once, Karissa, and you’ll be gone.”
She knew he was right, but it pissed her off to think that Sena was still winning. She was still taunting her. “I know you’re worried, but either way, she’s after me, and I want this to be over.” She pushed herself to her feet. “I need to change, then I’m going down to the gym to spar with Glitch and Taz. I need to get some of this energy out of me.”
He gave a soft chuckle and reached up to cup her ass, squeezing it. “I have other ways to expend your energy,” he told her with a salacious grin.
Arousal filled her and made her instantly damp, but she shook her head. “I promised Glitch some sparring time. If I let you touch me, I’ll be late and she’ll come up here and kick my ass.”
“You sound like you’re afraid of her,” Razor teased, letting go of her ass cheek, but then he slipped his hand between her legs, cupping her and making her moan. “I’ll protect you,” he murmured, rubbing his finger against the seam of her jeans.
Karissa spread her legs wider, arching into his firm touch. She heard and felt him stand, his hand never wandering from where he was touching her, but his other hand moved to the button of her jeans. “Razor,” she moaned when he removed his hand from between her legs, gripped her hip, and pushed the other hand down past her underwear to cup her again.
“Mmm, I love when you say my name like that,” he murmured in her ear as he pressed against her clit with his fingers, rubbing slowly, torturously. “Let me make you feel so good, baby,” he crooned. “Make you forget everything else.”
“Mmmm,” she moaned, laying her head back onto his shoulder as she arched her hips. Maybe this was a better idea, she thought vaguely. She’d never turn down an orgasm.
Suddenly the door to the bedroom was thrown open and both she and Razor froze.
“None of that,” Glitch barked, putting her hands on her hips. “Hands out of that pussy, pretty boy. Your girl and I have a date on the mats, and you are not distracting her.”
Karissa sighed and said, “Fine. Get out and I’ll be down in a few minutes.”
“Nope, I’m not risking him sexing you into staying,” Glitch said firmly. She gave Razor an expectant look, and Karissa turned her head to see Razor scowling and glaring at the woman. She bit back a moan when he oh so slowly pulled his fingers away and out of her pants before taking a small step back. “Take a cold shower, big guy,” Glitch said unsympathetically. “And you, get changed and let’s go,” she ordered Karissa.
Karissa grabbed the yoga pants and sports bra she had worn the other day, that Esme had thankfully washed for her, and quickly changed. “I’m starting to regret calling you,” she said darkly over her shoulder.
“Me too,” Razor muttered as he pulled on his shirt and cut.
“Well, you did, so that’s too bad,” Glitch said with a smirk. “You can take out your anger on the mats. I think the rest of the team is already down there waiting.” She glanced at Razor. “You’re coming, I’m guessing? Worried that the boys will hurt your little lady?”
“More like I want to see her kick your ass, and then kick the rest of the guys asses,” Razor replied immediately. “You just denied her an orgasm. Trust me, she hates that.”
“I’m counting on it,” Glitch said with a wicked grin. “You two can finish later. Well, unless you have trouble getting it up. Though I hear they have medications for that. If you need them, I’m sure I can hack a pharmacy for you.”
Karissa bit back a grin as Razor gave her a withering glare. She was going to have to work to get these two to be friends. Especially if Glitch was going to be around more. “Alright, let’s go,” she said briskly as they left the room. She kept Glitch in front of her. Just before they reached the stairs, she stopped, turned, grabbed Razor by the front of his shirt, and hauled him forward so she could kiss him. His hand immediately came up to cup her ass as his mouth attacked hers. When she forced herself to pull away, she murmured, “We’ll finish that later.”
