He leaned forward, and used his free hand to cup her throat and angle her head up so he could see her. Her eyes met his in the mirror, and the desire reflected back at him made his balls tighten. “Look at us, Karissa,” he rasped, never looking away, even as he increased his thrusts, wanting to mark her. Ruin her for anyone else. “Look at how perfect we are. You take my cock so perfectly, trying to milk me dry. I can see how much you love this, love when I take you hot and rough, hold you captive here. Make you surrender to me. You were made for me, Karissa.”

“Razor,” she moaned, and her lashes started to flutter closed.

“Keep your eyes open,” he ordered. “Let me see, Rissa. Let me see you cum for me.” He nipped at her neck, making her hiss and her body clench in response, wringing a groan from him. Fuck, he wasn’t going to last if she didn’t cum soon. She was too hot, too tight. He picked up his pace, and he could feel his balls drawing up tight to his body as his release built. “Cum, baby,” he groaned. “Cum for me. Give it to me.”

Karissa stared at him, her eyes never leaving his, and it was the hottest thing he had ever seen. When she came, she kept her eyes open, but they were dazed, and her mouth dropped open in a silent scream. Her skin flushed, and her body shook, and he wanted to be with her. Wanted to feel it too, so he let himself go, slamming into her as wave after wave washed over him, emptying inside her. When their orgasms finally slowed, his ears were ringing, and he and Karissa were still staring at each other. Both of them panted, trying to get themselves under control.

He leaned down and kissed her neck, the exact spot he nipped, and then carefully pulled out, grabbing a towel to help clean her up. Karissa didn’t move, content to let him take care of her, and even if he was weak in the knees, he was happy to do it. Enjoyed it, actually. It was these small moments, before the inevitable, that made him almost hopeful that he would wear her down.

Hell, if they both didn’t have work, and she wasn’t constantly trying to push him away, he would take her to bed and keep her there. They might die of too many orgasms, but he was okay with that.

The moment he tossed the towel aside, Karissa was moving. She kicked aside her pants and underwear and moved around him, heading for the door. He pulled up his boxers and jeans, leaving them unbuttoned and unzipped, and followed her.

She stalked into her bedroom, completely ignoring him. He bit back a sigh and waited. He knew better than to press. She would shut down, and he didn’t want a bigger argument than they were bound to have. Instead, he watched her pull off her top and bra, letting her breasts fall free; it made his hands itch to reach out and cup them, pulling on the nipples, knowing it would have her moaning and arching against him.

Damn, his cock was getting hard again. He needed to get a grip.

Thankfully, Karissa quickly dressed in some pajamas and then turned around to face him, her face set. He bit back another sigh and straightened from the doorway. Time for that confrontation.

“I’m not going anywhere, Karissa,” he said firmly, before she could start in on her reasons and excuses. “And we both know that you don’t want me to.”

“Just because we just fucked…”

“Don’t do that,” he interrupted with a snap in his voice. “Don’t make something we both enjoyed into something cheap and crude. You and me, we have a shit ton of chemistry, and there isn’t anything wrong with that.”

She quieted for a moment and then gave a clipped nod. “Fine, we have chemistry, I won’t argue that, but it can’t go anywhere, and we’re only making things harder for you to move on. Because you and me, we’re not going to be anything.”

“And why not, exactly?” he asked evenly, squashing down his temper, reminding himself that getting angry wasn’t going to help anything.

“Because we can’t,” she said firmly. “We don’t really have anything in common except the physical stuff. And I don’t want a relationship. So it’s best for both of us if you and I stop everything now, and you find a woman that wants the same things that you want.”

“And what is it you think I want?”

She was silent for a moment and looked at him with an unreadable expression. But it was her eyes he was focusing on. He saw the longing that she was trying to hide. It only made him more determined to fight for her. To figure out what she was hiding. Because there was definitely something there. Something that she didn’t want him or anyone else to know, and he would not let it stand much longer.

“You want someone who will be there for you and play the good little housewife once you make her your Old Lady,” she finally answered. “And I’m neither of those things. Good or a housewife. Besides, we fight too damn much for either of us to be happy. The sex is great, I won’t argue that, but you need to accept what I say and move on. Trust me, you’ll be a lot happier.”

“No, I don’t think I will,” he countered. “And you really need to stop putting words in my mouth. I never said I wanted a housewife or any of that bullshit. If I wanted one of those I’m sure I could have found one a long time ago. In case you’ve forgotten, before I met you I was a happy bachelor and had no problem finding women to keep me occupied if I wanted.” Her eyes flashed at that, and he bit back a smug smile. Karissa might not be able to admit it but she didn’t want to think about him with someone else. “But ever since I met you, you’re the only one that’s kept my attention, and the only one I want in my bed. In my life,” he continued, stepping further into the room. “And we can have that if you would stop being so damn stubborn and just tell me what’s wrong.”

“There is nothing wrong,” she snapped.

“Bull-fucking-shit. You might be able to pull the wool over everyone else’s eyes, but you can’t with me. I know you better than anyone else, even Esme, I would bet.”

Karissa snorted. “You know how good my vagina feels, that’s about it,” she retorted.

“And that mouth and ass,” he drawled.

She glared at him. “Razor, you’re starting to piss me off, so get the hell out. I told you, I’m not doing this anymore. I don’t owe you an explanation. You need to leave me alone.”

He was quickly losing his patience, so he stepped forward until his body brushed hers. She didn’t back away, but held her ground and tilted her head back to look up at him. That was something else he liked about Karissa, she didn’t back down. She wasn’t frightened of him, or afraid to speak her mind. He always knew that if he ever wanted a woman permanently, she would have to be strong, because he would break a woman that wasn’t. It was like Royal often said, she wasn’t a doormat, and he didn’t want one either.

“You need to listen to me, Rissa,” he told her softly. “And listen carefully.I’m. Not. Going. Anywhere. You want space, fuck that. Space is the last thing you need. I’m going to be on you constantly until you finally tell me what the hell is going on. If you still won’t, I have other ways of getting that information.” Her eyes didn’t so much as shift at his threat, making him wonder why she wasn’t worried about that. “Because I’m not walking away from you, Karissa. You need to get that through your head right now.”

“And you need to get it through your head that I will never give you what you want. All you’re doing is setting yourself up to hate me. Just walk away, Razor.”

“No, because I have the feeling that everyone has walked away from you far too easily, and you need someone in your corner that you can count on.” He reached down and cupped the back of her neck. She stiffened, but didn’t pull away. “And that man is going to be me. So get used to it, baby, because I’m not going anywhere.”

Then he leaned down, took her mouth in a hard, fast kiss, before pulling away and walking out of her room, and then out of her apartment and down to his bike. He straddled it and glanced back up at the building. He didn’t see her in the window, but he had a feeling she was watching him anyway. He wanted her mad, wanted her determined to keep her distance, because it would only make her surrender that much sweeter.
