Razor rolled his eyes, but his lips kicked up in a smirk. Karissa grinned and drawled, “As fun as that sounds, I’d rather stay with my man than deal with you on a daily basis again. I’d end up shooting you and it would be a whole thing. For everyone’s safety, and sanity, I’ll be staying here.”

Taz shrugged. “Fine. Don’t come crying to me when you realize you’re bored to tears.” Then he swooped in and hauled her up in his arms, hugging her tight. Tight enough that it made her gasp. “Just remember, you loved me first,” he teased.

“Loved is a bit of stretch,” she grunted, pushing him away. “Tolerated maybe. Besides, I don’t know that I want to get involved in whatever that hell you’re up to.”

“Well, I for one can’t wait to get home,” Glitch announced as she came stalking over. Today she was wearing a pair of black leather pants that molded to her hips and thighs, a black leather jacket with what looked to be a pink top underneath that matched the color of her hair, and a pair of black biker boots that she bought in town yesterday for the ride home. “And I swear to God if you try and pull any funny shit before we get there, I’m going to put your face on America’s Most Wanted and laugh when they haul you off to jail.”

Karissa chuckled. “I guess you’re riding with Taz, huh?” she grinned.

“Until he pisses me off,” she said with a nod. “Then I bike hop with whoever feels like taking me for the next leg. It’s kind of fun.”

“She just wants to talk someone’s ear off,” Jag drawled, grunting when he walked over and she backhanded him in the gut.

“You make it sound like I’m terrible to travel with,” she sniffed.

“I could see it,” Code said as he walked past.

Glitch turned and leveled him with a cool glare. “We can’t all be grumpy ogres like you,” she said with a fake smile. He glared at her.

Karissa chuckled. “What’s up with you two? Is this because you insulted his system again?” The two of them were in a heated debate last night about the security system around the club, and Glitch was pretty clear in her dislike for it, and threw a few jabs at Code that ended with him pissed and storming off. Apparently he hadn’t cooled off overnight from what she could see.

“He doesn’t like to admit that a woman can be better with computers than him,” Glitch said with a wave of her hand.

“No, I don’t like mouthy women,” Code snapped, glaring at her.

“Well it’s a good thing I’m leaving then, isn’t it?” she shot back. “I don’t have to put up with your pea-brain rants. Trust me, big guy, you might be bigger than me, but my dick’s bigger. If you ever need some help with, you know, actually doing a proper job, you let me know.” She winked at him, and Code’s eyes narrowed with anger before he turned and stalked away.

“I can’t tell if you two want to fuck or fight,” Taz remarked. “Babe, you really shouldn’t toy with your food before you eat it,” he admonished her with a wicked grin.

Glitch ignored him and hugged Karissa. “See you later, babe. Keep in touch, or I’m going to come back down here to check on you. I’d hate to have to hurt him,” she said with a nod at Razor. “I’ve seen what the man can do with what he’s packing, and it’d be a shame for a dick like that to go to waste.”

Karissa laughed. “That it would,” she agreed, grinning up at Razor, who just smirked.

“Alright, let’s roll out,” Simba called, resulting in the other men of the Predators MC to head out right behind him. Karissa followed them out and leaned against the post at the top of the porch steps, watching as Simba and Savage spoke for a moment, shook hands, and then Simba and the rest climbed on their bikes, with Glitch sitting on the back of Taz’s. Their engines roared, and they were off.

Karissa watched until they were out of sight, feeling sad they were gone. But at least this time, she knew where they were going to be and that she could still get in touch with them.

Everyone else went back inside, but she stayed where she was. She turned to look up at Razor, who was watching her carefully. “You okay?” he asked her, resting a hand on her hip, his thumb brushing the small strip of exposed skin on her side where her t-shirt rode up.

“I’m good,” she assured him with a smile.

“Regretting not going with them?” he asked, eyes searching.

She shook her head. “They’ll always be my team, but that part of my life is over. They’re doing good work now, and I might want to help out once in a while, but I’m happy to build my life here.”

He smiled down at her. “Good. If you want to go and see them, all you have to do is say so and we’ll head down.”

She smiled and lifted her head to his to kiss him. “Good,” she murmured when she pulled away. “For right now, though, we have a few things to figure out.”

“Like what?” he asked curiously.

“We have a dilemma to solve,” she told him with a wicked grin. He arched a brow. “When do you think we can take over the gym again? I was doing some…research last night and I have a few options for our next workout.”

His eyes burned with arousal and he quickly lifted her over his shoulder, making her laugh. “I’ll kick those assholes out.”

She grinned like a maniac as he carried her past grinning and smirking brothers and women. Yeah, she didn’t regret staying. This was exactly where she was meant to be.
