I collapsed against the futon. “Why are you so good at this?” I panted.

Tatsuya grinned. “Lots of practice. I could say the same for you,” He said with a laugh. “Wow, I’ve never met a woman that drove me wild like that.” He kissed my cheek.

I blinked as he laid down beside me, using his elbow to prop himself up. “Actually,” I said. “You were my first.”

Tatsuya gave me a look of disbelief. “You were a virgin?”

I nodded.

Tatsuya chuckled and swept the hair from my face. “Wow, you are the naughtiest girl I have ever met. Who knew a virgin could fuck like that.” He swallowed hard. “That just makes me want you more.” He reached down to my wet folds and rubbed my clit.

I moaned and rolled my hips towards his touch. “I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to take it easy on me.”

Tatsuya grinned. “Oh, my dear Karina, I would have never taken it easy on you. You’re an insatiable demon, just like me. I’m going to make sure this is a night that you never forget.”

TATSUYA

Tearing myself away from Karina hurt more than I would ever admit out loud. She was mine now. How could loving this goddess be anything less than fate? Sure we had said “no strings attached”. But this she-devil had wormed her way into my heart and soul with just a single glance of her magnificent gray eyes.

I couldn’t concentrate as shot my bike through the streets at a blinding pace. My heart was on fire. She had poisoned me. I’d never felt like this before. Not for anyone.

How many women had I deflowered and not felt the smallest flinch of guilt or spark of dedication? How was Karina so different? I had been her first. She had given up her virginity to me in one hot night of passion. I didn’t just want to be her first; I wanted her for the rest of my life. I couldn’t bear the thought of another man soiling her beautiful body. She was mine now.

“You’re late.” Tadao’s voice was like ice.

I shut the office door behind me and met his gaze without missing a beat. “Yeah, forgive me if I don’t apologize.” I answered to no one but Himura-sama. I didn’t care if he was technically the Wakagashira or not. His younger brother would never be more than a bookkeeper to me. “There was Shimazu-kai sniffing around our border last night.”

“Why didn’t you call for backup?” Tadao demanded. For someone who was second-in-command, he sure got big for his boots when his brother was gone.

“I did, Kaoru was sick.” I shot a glance at my best friend, who was sprawled out on the couch and still looking quite green.

“There were plenty of Shatei that could have accompanied you.” Tadao retorted.

“I don’t trust any of the juniors with my life.” I spat.

Tadao bolted from his seat and clenched his teeth. “Listen, Tastuya!”

“Oi!” Kenichi entered the room, and the temperature dropped. “That’s enough!”

I bowed my head. “I’m sorry, Himura-sama.” I was the Kumicho’s most loyal solider, and it shamed me whenever he saw me as anything less than composed.

Tadao swore under his breath and sat back down, busying himself with something on his computer.

Kenichi looked around at his small team of loyal men. “If Shimazu-kai is getting braver we must prepare,” He said. “I will be sending scouts all along our border.” He turned his attention to me. “Tatsuya, do not go out on a mission alone again, got it?”

I gritted my teeth and bowed. “Yes, Himura-sama.”

The news channels were wrought with reports of Yakuza territory being raided all over the Tokyo area. No wonder Kenichi was on edge. Not only was he battling the rival gangs, but now he had an increased police presence to deal with. The police had always politely ignored the gangs, so long as we toed the line and left the average citizens alone. Not anymore. The new government was elected on a platform of ridding organized crime from the streets.

Good luck, I thought. The Yakuza was an essential part of Japan’s history at this point.

Kaoru flipped open his helmet and gulped down canned coffee from a vending machine.

I fidgeted impatiently. The sound of crushed aluminum broke the silence.
