“How dare you,” I hissed. “This is not a brothel. I would never do anything to degrade my own kind.” I gritted my teeth. Whoever this Yakuza douche bag was, he was nothing more than a typical man to me. “I helped get these women off the street and making a living.”
He held up his hands and shook his head. “Alright, alright,” He chuckled. “I won’t argue with you on that at least.”
His rude, carefree tone irked me. I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned against my desk. “So this is your territory?”
The yakuza bastard smirked. His cool expression was enough to melt the panties off of any ordinary woman. Thankfully, I was far from ordinary. “Not just me, the Himura-gumi.” He said, as if I would know who that is.
I shrugged. “Sorry, haven’t heard of them. I’m pretty new around here, if you hadn’t noticed.”
“Oh, forgive me,” He said with a sarcastic bow and curled his lip. “Well, I am Tatsuya.” He exaggerated the pronunciation.
I liked him less and less by the second.
“Karina,” I replied.
“So, Karina,” He said. “Now that we’ve been formally introduced, I will ask again: what the hell do you think you’re doing in our turf?”
??
TATSUYA
“Karina,” The blond woman replied. Her name rolled off her tongue like honey. She was Russian - as if her pale blonde hair and baby blue eyes weren’t enough of a giveaway.
I tried tasting her name for myself. “So, Karina. Now that we’ve been formally introduced, I will ask again: what the hell do you think you’re doing in our turf?”
Karina took a moment to respond. She was smart. I could tell by the way she looked at me. But her wits were not the first thing I noticed. I flicked my eyes up and down her once again. She was breathtakingly beautiful. A bit taller than average, feisty with wavy blond hair, gray eyes, and curves in the best places.
When she crossed her arms, it brought attention to her ample tits and my resolve wavered for a second. Karina was the type of girl I’d like to keep in my bed, not get protection money out of.
She didn’t respond, and I took a step towards her. She didn’t even flinch. “Tell me.” I demanded.
Karina shook her head and laughed. “How do I know that you have any authority over this place? I rented it fair and square from a landlord.”
“Fair and square, for cash.” I interjected.
She blinked. “Yes,” She agreed. “Cash. Everyone does business in cash here.”
“Including the yakuza,” I added and stepped forward again. I was close enough to smell her perfume. It was expensive, like the clothes she was wearing. She didn’t budge. “You may be new here, but let me explain something. The yakuza own this city and you’d best play by the rules or get out.”
This particular building was right on the edge of our territory. We couldn’t lose a square inch to the Shimazu-kai, not now, not when we were so close to finally ending out war with them.
“Fine,” Karina sighed with a shrug. “So, this is your territory, fine. Do I have to pay to play or what?”
Oh, I’d much rather her pay me in ways besides money. The thought crossed my mind in an instant. I’d love to feel her all over, taste her and make her mine. Breaking hearts was what I did best. She seemed strong, but she’d be no different once she was with me.
“50,000 yen per week in protection.” I said, shoving away my animal desires to deal with the business at hand.
Karina scoffed. “50,000 yen? To protect me from what?”
I closed the distance between us, pressing my body against hers and whispering. “Do you really want to find out?”
Karina’s face went pink and her breath hitched. She lost her cool exterior for only a brief second before shoving me away. “Get off!” She hissed. She swept her long hair away from her face. “Don’t you touch me.” She threatened. “You don’t know who I am!”
I smirked. “Maybe not yet,” I shrugged. “But I have a feeling that we’ll be getting to know each other very well indeed, Karina.” I opened the office door and added, “First payment is due tomorrow. I’ll see you then.”

“There is a new massage parlor on the edge of our territory,” I explained. “She seems to be a smart one. I’ve already sent a message to the landlord for not disclosing our presence. He should have known better than giving out a lease without our permission.”
