“Because of…me?”

“Yep.”

He swallowed. “And this will just take a little bit?”

She grinned. “Setting three isreallygood.”

“I um…”

“You wanna come with me?”

His eyes heated. “Yes.”

“Okay.”

“I…” He coughed. “Jesus. I can’t.”

She shrugged. “Okay.”

He let go of her and she took another couple of steps. But she looked back. “Room twelve-fifteen. If you change your mind.”

“You’re killing me.”

“Good. I’ll think about that…while I’m upstairs.”

He groaned. Loudly.

This time she took four steps before he stopped her. He turned her but didn’t say a word. He simply cupped the back of her head and drew her in for a long, deep, hot kiss.

When he let her go, her heart was pounding and it took her a second to take a full breath.

“Think about that too,” he said gruffly.

“Yeah.” She pressed her lips together. “I will. Thank you.”

She only needed twenty minutes in her room. And that included packing and changing her clothes.

She texted him from the lobby.

He joined her at the front doors five minutes later.

His jaw was tight as he approached. She gave him a big smile.

“Much better now,” she told him.

“So glad,” he said dryly as he grabbed her suitcase and headed for the valet stand.

She giggled.

“Glad you’re enjoying this.”

“Well, I’m not enjoying it as much as I enjoyed—”

“Don’t,” he said firmly.

“Just making conversation.”

“Not about that.”
