“I’m meeting a friend.” I nod toward Enzo.

Her cheeks heat with embarrassment at my dismissal. “Head on back.”

“Thanks.” I don’t spare her another glance, heading straight toward him.

“How was it?” He doesn’t even turn around to acknowledge me, his eyes moving around the room.

“It was fine,” I grumble.

“Good.” He nods.

“It could have been done by someone else,” I say raising a brow.

Enzo smirks. “Greer didn’t want to send just anyone to Natasha’s.”

I roll my eyes. Natasha is a friend of the girls. She owns a lingerie shop called Seduction. I may have flirted with her on occasion, but I’ve never taken her up on her offers of more. She’s a gorgeous woman with so many great qualities, but she was never right. She was never Serena.

It doesn’t seem to be stopping Greer though. I need to have a talk with her about it. I mean, even Natasha knew something was up. When I showed up, she was dressed to the nines and obviously ready for our flirting routine, but I shut that shit down and quick.

“Okay, who is she?” Natasha asks as she leans against her desk.

“What do you mean?” I ask as I fix her security system. Somehow the touch screen went out.

“You haven’t flirted with me,” she deadpans. “And I know it’s not because I look like shit. So I’ll ask again, who is she?”

“Who says I’m not flirting because of a woman?”

Natasha raises a brow as she crosses her arms over her chest. “Don’t try and bullshit me. I’d like to think that we have become closer than mere iccuppinges. I can see the change in you. You’re not wearing the mask anymore.”

“Her name is Serena,” I confess. “She’s…”

“Are you in love, Tristano?” she teases.

“I think I have been for a long time,” I admit for the first time out loud.

A smile covers her face. “I’m happy for you, friend. You deserve it. Now hurry up. I have a feeling you need to get back to your girl.”

By the time I left the shop, Natasha had filled a bag of lingerie for me to give Serena and told me to bring her in to meet her.

Laughter has me turning and looking at Serena and Greer.

“How are things here?” I murmur, my eyes on my girl.

She looks gorgeous today with her long brown hair falling down her back and that peach dress that makes her skin look like it glows.

I see Enzo nod out of the corner of my eye. “Good. They just got their food.”

“And the hypnotherapy?” I ask as I run my hand through my hair.

“He told Greer it went well, and he would have his notes and sketches to us before dinner.”

“That’s not what I meant and you know it,” I hiss.

He’s quiet a moment. “She seems okay. A little nervous being with Greer, but she didn’t seem overly upset over the visit. You’ll have to check in with her as you know her better than I do, but she’s strong. She can handle it.”

I let out the breath I was holding. I hated leaving Serena alone while I was gone, but it’s not like I could exactly say no when Greer asked me to go. She’s my boss, and I know Serena would understand that. Besides, I knew she was in safe hands. Greer might be a hard ass sometimes, but she’s a good person.

“Should we join them?” I’m itching to be by my girl.
