“Same.” She smiles brightly as she takes a seat.
“And this is Natasha,” Sofia says, pointing at the last woman. “Natasha, this is Tristano’s woman, Serena.”
Natasha smiles with a wicked look in her eye. “I’ve heard all about you. Nice to meet you.”
“You too,” I say as I shift in my seat.
What the hell does she mean she’s heard all about me? From who?
My mind flashes back to the emerald green lingerie set I wore for Tristano last night. This woman picked that out for me. I don’t know if I should thank her or slit her throat. Okay, not the second one, but the first doesn’t seem right either.
“Last but not least, this is Vanessa. She’s married to Matteo, who I don’t think you’ve met yet.”
Vanessa doesn’t say anything but waves, so I wave back.
“Wine?” Danica asks.
Everyone says yes, and she starts handing out glasses.
The bottles are already open and she holds one up in front of her, silently asking if I would like some. I nod and she fills the glass.
“If you don’t like it, we can get you something else,” she says quietly.
“Thank you,” I tell her honestly.
“Everyone good?” Enzo asks from the edge of the room.
Danica walks over to him and gives him a kiss. “We’re fine. Go have fun with the guys and kids.”
He smirks down at his wife and whispers something none of us can hear, but if her blush is anything to go by, I’d say it was something dirty.
As soon as he walks away, Sofia claps. “Okay, I’m kid-free for the next two hours, three if I’m lucky. Tell me all the things.”
“My husband is sexy as fuck holding a baby. It makes my uterus do something, and I’m not sure how I feel about it yet.” Greer frowns, making everyone laugh.
“The struggle is real, right?” Mia says, raising her glass.
“I kind of miss seeing Matteo hold a baby,” Vanessa says quietly.
“Do you think you’ll have another?” Sofia asks as she leans toward the woman.
Vanessa shifts her seat. “I’m not sure.”
“I’m sure if you wanted one, Matteo would make it happen,” Sofia tells her.
Izzy chuckles. “He would lock you in the bedroom until it happened.”
Everyone laughs as I look around.
“What about you, Danica?” Greer asks as she nudges the other woman with her foot.
“We’re not in a rush. We’re happy right now giving all of our attention to V, but if it happens, it happens.” She smiles softly.
“I love that kid.” Rosa sighs.
“How’s your son?” Natasha asks.
“Growing like a weed. Cleo has convinced me to bring him for a visit.”
