“You’re a real dickhead, you know that,” I tell him. My body is enjoying being pinned under him far more than I’m willing to admit.
Tutting, he slowly lifts away from me, and I scramble off the bed. I stride over to him and prod him in the chest. “Never kiss me like that again!”
Smirking, he looks down at my finger and then back up at me. “I’m afraid that’s not possible. You are my girlfriend. Being my girlfriend involves lots of kissing. I’m a very tactile and sexual being.”
“You are loving every minute of this whole charade, aren’t you?”
“Every single second,” he says, prodding his finger in my chest. “Get your bikini on and get your sexy arse down to the pool. You’ve got ten minutes, or I’ll come back up here and bring you down myself.”
I raise two fingers and pull my tongue out at him. It’s juvenile, I know, but he just pushes my buttons all the time. He leaves me, laughing to himself as he goes, and I glare after him. I press my fingers to my lips. They still tingle from that panty-melting kiss we shared. As much as I hate to admit it, I more than enjoyed that kiss and I hadn’t wanted it to stop.

I pull myself together and give myself a stern talking to before heading downstairs to the heated indoor pool. Seb and the boys are already in the water playing volleyball. Eliza and Vee are sitting by the far side of the pool with their feet dipped in the water, chatting.
“Sorry about before.” Vee winces. “I’ll be honest. I thought you and my brother were faking this whole thing to get Tam off his back. After seeing that smouldering passion fest before, it’s clear you’re actually into each other.”
I feel my cheeks redden, my eyes flashing across the pool to where Seb is. “As if your brother would ever convince me to fake date him. Sadly, I have fallen prey to Seb’s shameless flirting.”
“He really needs to learn to close his bedroom door. I do not want to walk in on any nakedness in the future.”
“It’s not like that!” I protest, and I don’t miss Vee and Eliza sharing a look.
“It’s not? You mean you and my brother haven’t?” Vee asks me and I shake my head. She looks over at Seb like she’s seeing him for the first time. “Well, wonders never cease. My brother is in a relationship that isn’t centred around sex!”
I glance a look at my watch. Adding Seb into my schedule means I’m getting less study time and I can’t afford to let my grades slip.
“Mills!” Seb shouts across the pool to me, cupping his hands around his mouth. “Get your sexy little arse in this pool.”
“I’m okay here with the girls,” I tell him, trying to keep my eyes from trailing down to his wet, chiselled chest. I don’t trust myself to be near him when he’s looking like that. That kiss has me so confused. I kissed him like I wanted him, but I don’t. There’s no way in hell I would ever let myself fall for a fuck boy like him.
He shakes his head and beckons me with his finger. “Don’t make me come and get you, precious.”
I sigh as I say farewell to the girls and sink into the warm depths of the pool. I wade over to him. He grins at me, looking like a villain concocting an evil plan. “Whatever idea is forming in that head of yours, don’t,” I warn him, giving him a pointed look.
He licks his bottom lip, and I can’t help but stare at the movement. He meets me in the middle of the pool. “Hey, Mills. You rock a bikini; do you know that.”
I snort. “Why thank you for your approval. I can’t stay long today. I need to get home and finish my homework.”
I try not to freeze up when he grabs me by the waist and pulls me flush against him. Our two wet bodies press up against one another. “Nope. No homework. Today, Milly Silver, you are going to have some fun.”
I sigh. “I don’t have time for fun.” I really don’t. Fun won’t get me into university to study to become a vet, nor will it feed my brother.
“Well, I’m making you make time. Everyone needs to let loose occasionally, Mills.” He places his hands on my shoulders and massages me with his thumbs. “See, you’re so tense. We need to loosen you up, and I know just how.”
“Oh, really.” I eye-roll, waiting for some sexual reference, but catching me unawares, he pounces. He jumps up and pushes down on my shoulders and dunks me under the water. Conniving bastard. I come up spluttering and wipe my face with my hands. “Oh, you are so going to pay for that!”
He waggles his brows at me as he swims away. “You have to catch me first, precious, and I’m fast.”
“I’m faster,” I warn him as I duck under the water and swim after him. I come up to the surface and spin around, not spotting him anywhere. Just as I turn back around, I’m whacked in the face with a large inflatable doughnut.
“All talk, aren’t you Milly Silver!” He smirks impishly, splashing water at me. We spend the next ten minutes chasing each other and trying to dunk and soak the other.
I don’t think I’ve laughed this much in a long time. I admit it—I’m having fun. Coming up to the surface of the water, I realise that we’re over in the far corner of the pool, away from the others. He cages me in, with his arms on either side of the pool’s edge. I swallow, suddenly feeling nervous. Seb lifts my chin with his forefinger, forcing my eyes to his. “So, you can smile and laugh. I thought that sarcastic smile was the only one you knew.”
“Funny,” I deadpan, feeling self-conscious under his close observation. “I laugh and smile, around people I like. I don’t like you.”
He smirks at me. “Oh, you like me Mills. You’re just not ready to admit it.” He leans in closer and bites at his bottom lip. “I think you like me a lot.”
