Hours later they fell back into their skin beside the creek, and yeah, it washellacold, but that didn’t stop him from picking her up and jumping in the frigid water with her. Just having her curvy, warm body in his arms was worth it.
“Thor!” she squealed, clutching his shoulders when they hit the water.
He kissed her before she could protest again. Like so many of their kisses, it grew hot and heavy in a matter of seconds. She was perfect like this, submissive and aggressive all at the same time. She seemed to know exactly when to demand, and when to give in, writhing her sexy little body all over him, and driving him out of his damned mind.
Before he knew it, Thor was already pressing into her tight heat with her back up against the flat side of a bolder in the shallow side of the waters. Fuck, her pussy felt like heaven. Hot, wet, tight heaven. She clenched around him, sending lightning bolts of pleasure shooting through his veins. He was an animal taking her rough like this, but he couldn’t help it. He needed her like he needed air. Maybe more.
Fuck yes, more.
“Mine,” he grunted, pushing his hips harder, faster, stroking her walls just right. “Tell me,” he commanded, needing to hear it.
“Yours, Thor. I’m yours,” she repeated over and over aloud and in her thoughts, pushing the words right into his head.
Hearing her voice in his head was fucking magic. A kind of magic he never thought he would share with anyone, but Nica was not just anyone. She was his heart and soul.
“Harder,” she moaned, and he obliged, pounding into her sweet sex until he almost blew without her.
“Need you to come for me, angel. Now, right now,” he demanded, and miracle of miracles, she did.
Nica clawed his back like the little hellion she was, crying out his name. There was nothing sexier on the whole fucking planet than his mate’s face when she came all over him. Thor roared in ecstasy, her pussy clamping down on his dick right before he exploded into his own spiral of pleasure.
Warm jets shot into her, a direct contrast to the cold water surrounding them, and he could hardly catch his breath. He’d never felt anything so intense. The air shimmered, the veil between worlds and planes disrupting around him as he came and came and came some more inside of his mate.
My mate. My fated one. My one and only.
He didn’t deserve her, but he would do everything he could to be worthy. She was precious to him now. Ingrained in his very soul, and branded on his heart. Oh, she had his loyalty. His Demon Wolf’s too.
Thor was never going to give her up. Not ever. He was going to love her for the rest of his life, and several lifetimes after that. He closed his eyes, feeling his ancestors cheering him on, offering congratulations, and blessing their union. It was phenomenal. Important. And so damn big, he could hardly think of any words to explain it.
Eons later he felt soft kisses on his face, and his shaved head as Nica tended him, whispering sweetly.
“I got you, mate. I got you.”
She did. Heart, body, mind, and soul. Nica had him all right. Thor closed his eyes to slow his pounding heart and, doing so, he saw his Demon Wolf. The animal sat and watched her with hungry eyes in that metaphysical plane where he existed till called, and he wasn’t alone. His Raven mate sat with him and their matebond glowed between them, ten times as thick as before.
“I got you too, angel.”
And he meant it. He really did.
Chapter16
The days sped by in blissful happiness. Those turned into weeks with no word from the Murder or the Shifter Council. Nica was too busy enjoying every moment to give it much more than a passing thought.
She was busy building a life. Days were spent working in the bar, helping with the triplets, and doing chores in the Pack House. It was fall, but that didn’t stop Thor from building her a miniature greenhouse in the back. She had been so touched by his efforts, her heart almost exploded when she saw what he was doing.
The others all pitched in, and when the outside construction was done, he’d furnished worktables and shelves, set up the plumbing, and went with her to a huge garden center to place an order for things she’d need.
“Are you sure about all this? It’s expensive,” she’d said, worrying.
“Of course, I’m sure. I think we should stop by the community college to get some course pamphlets for next semester, see if they have the kind of classes you were taking before.”
“Really? You would do that for me?”
“I’d do anything for you,” he said, his expression so serious it bordered on bafflement.
True, Nica was a homey sort, and didn’t mind housework or any work. But this touched her deeply. Thor listened to her, and if she was not already head over heels in love with the man, that right there would have done it. He was still protective, always worried about others taking advantage of her work ethic. He didn’t want her doing too much.
“You don’t have to do the dishes tonight, angel,” he told her after dinner one evening.
