“No.” My mouth curled as I spread my hands over his jaw. “I like it.”

I might’ve initiated the kiss, but with a gruff sound, Kai took control immediately, licking the shape of my bottom lip. He tugged me back by the hair and wrapped his tongue around mine. Slow, yet forceful, making me hunger for his warm, male taste as he kissed the fucking life out of me.

I was panting for air, my head foggy, by the time he was done with me. He’d stolen all my strength and sense from me. And I loved the feeling. I loved his kisses.

Kai groaned as his glazed eyes flickered all over my face. “Babble,” he rasped through gritted teeth. “Don’t look at me like that.”

“It’s your fault for kissing me like that, Mr Perfect Prince,” I purred with a smirk, pressing myself close to him; he made me feel so sexy and powerful.

He inhaled slowly and deeply like he was fighting for control. But his stare dipped to my stinging lips as he traced them with his thumb. “Say something else. Ask me something else. Before I do it again.” I opened my mouth instantly, but his lashes snapped up faster. “Don’t ask me to do it again.”

Dammit, how had he known? I pushed my mouth into a pout.

I wasn’t sure if I was impressed he could read me so well or annoyed with his level of restraint. A level I could never achieve. But that only made me want to tease and frustrate him more so his restraint would snap, and he would take it out on me.

I’d let him punish me however he wanted. Because that was what I wanted. More than anything.

“I wasn’t,” I said, tipping my chin up. “I was going to ask for your number. So, the next time one of us disappears, we can message each other instead of searching the whole palace for one another.”

Maybe a few suggestive messages would help me in my “frustrate-him” mission too.
