My assistant comes over to me and smiles. “Well, that went well, didn’t it?”

Rolling my eyes, I stand up quickly. “Yeah. Sure.”

But my head swims and I take a deep breath, dropping back into the chair.

“Are you alright, Vi?”

I nod my head but I don’t move. I drop my head to the table and close my eyes, letting the silence heal my throbbing head.

I glance up and see one of them standing in the doorway, his eyes narrowed and a smug smile on his face. I stand up and stalk over to the door.

“What did you need, Jude?”

His dark eyes flash angrily at my tone.Too damn bad.

“Just came back to see if you can send my office those numbers.”

I eye him, my brow raised. “I have Alexia send them every month and you know that.”

“Oh, yeah. I thought so but I wanted to make sure.”

“Uh-huh. Trust me. You’ll get exactly what’s coming to you.”

His dark eyes narrow. “What are you trying to say?”

I smile grimly. “Just what I said. Alexia will send it all out tomorrow. Thank you for coming.”

He turns and stalks out of the room and I see him meet up with some of my other problems and I groan.

Alexia shakes her head. “This is bad, boss.”

“Yeah. It is.”

I stand and stalk back to my office, ready to fight. Nobody but nobody is getting my company.

I’ll blow it up before I let those bastards have what’s mine. My hard work, my dream, my money.

Fuck them.

CHAPTER2

Marco

“Bruno, have you checked in with our guys out on the delivery dock?”

“Yes, boss. It’s all good. That new delivery of goods is on its way and will get here in two days. Right on time.”

“Good. I was hoping that we weren’t gonna have any trouble like we did last month.”

“No. Our loose lips have been neutralized.” I smirk at Bruno. He always uses such prissy language for what he does.

“Alright. Do me a favor and trail that other man. I still say he had something to do with that missing shipment as well. It’s interesting that he was the one to turn his buddy in when he knew we were getting close.”

Bruno cracks his knuckles. “You want me to bring him in and talk to him?”

“Not yet. I want a little more time to keep an eye on him and see if he tries it again.”

“Why the hell wouldn’t you just ice the bastard now?”
