She'd killed him.

"Panic later," I snapped. I aimed at the lock and fired. The bullet tore through that and decimated a chunk of door.

"I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get the fuck out of here." I pushed the door open with my bare foot.

I froze.

"Slade."

CHAPTER8

PARKER

"It's got to be around here somewhere." I glanced at the screen of Zeke's phone, then out at the street signs as we slowly drove past them. "Unless Caleb gave us the wrong address."

"If he did, it's the last thing he'll do," Hunter growled. "Zeke, pull over here. Let's take a look around."

"Whatever you say, bro," Zeke said with a hint of sarcasm. He pulled the car over to the side of the road and killed the engine.

Hunter was the first one out, but I was close behind. I half expected Zeke and Asher to drive away, but they got out too. I didn't kid myself that it had anything to do with Lila. It was the other women they cared about. Whatever. As long as our girl got out safe, sound and untouched.

They both slipped on caps and sunglasses, because nothing says ‘famous person trying to go incognito’ like an obvious disguise. Most people wouldn't give them a second glance if they just walked around like normal human beings.

I mean, being members of the biggest rock band in the world wasn't that big a deal, right?

I glanced back at the screen. "According to this, it's back there about fifty metres."

"Wait," Asher said suddenly.

"What the fuck for?" Hunter snarled.

The drummer nodded forward. "That. If we rush up there, we'll draw everyone's attention."

I squinted in the direction he indicated. Several men in Armani and Zegna suits were making their way toward a particular building, all walking like they owned the place.

Of course it wouldn't be everyday riffraff who wanted to buy women like Lila. Men like this wanted the best of the best. They'd pay well for it.

Assholes.

"Parker and I will go," Hunter said. "You two stand out like dog's balls." He glared at them as though daring them to disagree.

"You think no one will notice two dirty guys turning up at an event like this?" Zeke raised an eyebrow at Hunter. "If anyone stands out like dog's balls, it's you."

"Fuck," I said under my breath. "The last thing in the world I want to say is that Zeke is right, but…"

"Zeke is almost always right," Asher said. He gave my brother a fond look. They were so adorably cute together it was sickening.

"Thank you," Zeke told him. "I think. We'll talk about the ‘almost always’ later. In the meantime, let's find another way into the building. There has to be a back door."

I rubbed my forehead. It was starting to ache.

"It sucks when your big brother is right twice in as many minutes," Zeke said lightly.

"It's a new world record," I said sarcastically. I looked down at the map. "According to this, if we go down to the end of the street, around and back up again, we'll be at the back of that building."

I glanced back up and watched the businessman pass through the glass front doors. The place looked like some sort of underground gentlemen's club. That was likely exactly what it was. A place so exclusive it didn't need a sign. Potentially an establishment owned by the Brotherhood of Kings.

Even though Hunter and I were members, that wouldn't assure us that we'd be allowed to enter.
