“This is for your last stunt,” he murmured.
My mouth fell open and I huffed, half amused, half turned on. Firecrackers went off in my chest as I gazed up at him, hovering over me with that smirk.
Fuck. That smirk was so hot. I hated that I was so easily lured in by it.
I shook my head at him, holding his gaze. I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face. Round and round we went, getting back at each other, and I didn’t mind one bit.
Finn stepped forward, hands on the back of my chair as he stood with my legs in between his. His hips started rolling, making his abs ripple.
His eyes didn’t leave mine once.
“Shameless,” I whispered and his pupils blew, reading my lips.
His hands came to the backs of my knees and he yanked me forward, sliding me down the chair so I was directly beneath him. My eyes widened, and another round of screams and hoots rose from the crowd as he worked his hips against mine.
His abs danced as he moved, his obliques popped and jumped, and the ridges of his chest and stomach begged to be traced by my finger. His tattoos mesmerized me. I reached out but he grabbed my hand in his.
“Ah, ah,” he warned, eyes dancing. “No touching.”
I huffed a laugh. We were in a room full of screaming people but I barely noticed.
He dropped to his knee and my breath caught. My smile dropped. He quirked a funny, delirious look at me, an expression that saidnow what?
The way he was posed on one knee like that—
My heart shot into my throat. I was vaguely aware of people screamingoh my god! Oh my god!
“Finn,” I hissed, sending him murder eyes.
If he proposed like this, I was going to kill him.
“Donot.” I sounded like a demon, voice tense and raspy. “Do not.”
A slow, wicked smile hitched on his mouth. His smile said, but what if I did?
I blinked. My chest was a shaken-up pop can, ready to explode and fizz everywhere. What if he did?
His eyes narrowed, so cocky and sexy. “It would be an incredible story.”
This was crazy. I choked out a laugh and his grin widened. I wasn’t actually considering this, was I? My stomach tumbled like I was on a roller coaster, and my pulse went haywire.
He stood and lowered himself over me, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
One of his corded arms reached out to support himself on the back of my chair while the other hand threaded into my hair, anchoring me. My pulse thrummed between my legs as my eyes settled on his.
His eyes flashed dark and wild and I felt drunk, strung along by my intense attraction to Finn Rhodes. Up, down, left, right, he yanked me with him, along for the ride, and I didn’t even mind anymore.
My lungs felt tight like I couldn’t get a full breath as we watched each other.
His irises were dark like dusk. “Look at you, Olivia,” he said, and it sounded like an accusation. Like how dare I look so hot tonight? Awareness shot through me, and I shivered at the way he said my full name.
He leaned in. “Are your panties wet?” he asked, for my ears only.
I pulled back, giving him my own smug smile, and slowly shook my head. “Not wearing any.”
His eyes blazed wild before he closed them, sucking a breath in.
Was this doing anything to convince me of the new, improved Finn? The responsible, reliable guy? Nope.
