I wanted to stay in Agnarr's arms and rest in our new bed, but his substantial amount of cum was becoming increasingly apparent as it cooled. I mentally thanked Bram for insisting on four sets of bedding. “Love?” I asked.
“Mmm?”
“Is there a washroom up here?”
“Já, we have one connected to our bedroom up here, and the full sauna is downstairs.”
I scooted away from Agnarr, but he locked his arms around me, kissing my head, “You aren’t going anywhere.”
“I just want to clean up. And maybe put on some fresh bedding. If you hadn’t noticed, we’ve made a mess.”
“We have, but I want to finish this proposal before you go anywhere,” he released me and stood, looking for something at the foot of the bed. When he returned, he had a small, ornately carved wooden box in his hand. I recognized Osif’s work immediately.
“What’s this?” I asked though I was already pretty sure what I would find inside.
“Open it, and maybe you will find out,” he said, laying back down beside me.
Opening the box, I wasn’t surprised to find a ring. Iwassurprised by the design. It mimicked the bark of the trees that surrounded our cabin and covered the forest. It was so intricately made I couldn’t believe it wasn’t made of tree bark, taken down to a small, delicate scale. Agnarr took the ring and slipped it on my ring finger. I held my hand out to admire it. The gold sparkled in the candlelight. It was nothing like I would have picked for myself, but it was perfect.
“Do you like it?”
“I love it. Did Skaard make it?”
“No. Magna did.”
“Seriously?” I pulled my hand closer to my face to inspect the detail further.
“Seriously,” Agnarr responded, teasing.
“I just wouldn’t think that Magna would be willing to make something like this for me, given everything that has happened,” I said, still inspecting the ring.
“At first, he didn’t want to. He told me to ask Skaard. Magna didn’t think you would wear a ring made by him. Skaard would have done beautiful work, but Magna’s work is better. And I wanted it to be a symbol not just of our love but of our future as a tribe, orkin and human side-by-side.”
“Is that all?” I rolled my eyes.
Agnarr huffed, “AndI knew if Magna really hadn’t changed his mind about learning to accept the humans, he would never agree to make it. So it was a bit of a test for him.”
“That is a lot of meaning behind a tiny gold band,” I teased.
“Do you still want to wear it, even though Magna made it?”
“I’ll consider it,” I said blithely while still inspecting the intricacies of the carved metal. “Are you going to wear one as well?”
“Do you want me to wear one?”
“Back home, both partners do. It is a symbol of our commitment. I know we both bear a much more permanent sign down our spines, but... yeah, I want you to wear one too. Maybe one that’s a little manlier.”
“Manlier?” Agnarr looked confused.
“I mean, less dainty,” I clarified. “Something this delicate would look silly on your giant hands.”
“Ah, okay. I will talk to Magna tomorrow. We will have a matching pair. Billie said sometimes you get a second band on the wedding day. Do you want a second band?”
“Nope, I like this one. I’ll have to give it back to you before the wedding so we can officially put them on during the ceremony, but I am keeping it for now,” I beamed up at Agnarr, “But, can we please go get clean now? I am cold and sticky.”
Agnarr just laughed as he stood to lead me down to the sauna.
