After he got her settled, he stood.“I have to make a call.I’ll be right back.”

He walked out into the hallway and closed the door before calling Ethan.

“What?”Ethan answered.

Drew grinned.“I didn’t catch you at a bad moment, did I?”

“Oh, like that would bother you.Tell me why you called so I can get back to my woman,” Ethan said.

Drew rolled his eyes.“I need some of Sara’s things to tide someone over until I can buy whatever she needs.”

“Oh, and who might this be?”

“She’s mine, and that’s all you need to know right now.”

Ethan grunted, but he talked to Sara for a moment.“Would you like us to bring them to you?”

“If you could have Sara come to my room.It might make my girl feel better knowing there’s another woman in the house.”

“Are you going to tell me her name?”Ethan asked.

Drew knew he got teased about it, but he told him anyway.“She goes by Scarlet, but it’s not her real name.”

“You have a dancer or prostitute in your room?”Ethan barked.

“Fuck. No,” Drew said.“She works, or used to work, at our Italiano Sin Club.”

“She must be something if you brought her back to the house.”

“It’s complicated, but I’ll tell you everything when I know.”

“Fine.I’ll have Sara there within an hour.”

Drew smiled.“I guess it won’t take you long in bed.”

“Fuck off.”

Drew chuckled.“I’ll be waiting for Sara.”

“I’ll tell her.”

Drew slipped his phone back into his pocket before going back into the room. She was still in the chair, drinking her coffee.

“Eat as much as you can,” he said.He was determined to keep her healthy. He could tell she was still tired and way too thin. Not in an emaciated way, but he could see her clavicle bone protruding.

She glanced at him and nodded.

Chapter Ten

“I’ve got my brother’s woman, Sara, coming with some things for you.”

“But I don’t need anything.”

Drew almost snorted.“You don’t have any clothes…”

“But I do.I can wear what I had on yesterday until I get home.”

He shook his head.“No to both.”
